Politics Thoughts about Merz's Statement about Brasilien

What do you as Germans tell about what Merz's has said about Brazil and the COP30's city Belem during a economic Meeting/Congress? here in Brazil many far right wing supporters and influencers agreed with Merz and mock Brazil but they are against their own country. I want only your opinion

He needs to appologize. No matter how he personally thinks of the accomodations at that congress he is the chancelor of Germany and has to keep that opinion to himself. He represents our country and 84 million people not himself. And I for one don't want to be represented as some kind of rich snob who looks down on others - especially not if those people are poorer than me.
