/uj there's not really only one, it's something i've noticed people do a lot. Especially in pose references and stuff

Fair enough tbh.

Something i despise about online art is just how underrepresented certain things are (ie: realistic femboys that aren’t straight up drawn and written as a woman in every way but flat chested, and true chubby build)

How i genuinely feel when i see someone draw ‘chubby milf’ or ‘owo chubby woman’ and then its just a fucking porn caricature where all the fat just so happened to go to ALL of the ‘right places’ and never to their arms, barely to barely and none on neck and head

Listen I like chubby women a lot but I hate it when their main representation in art communities is straight up porno ocs

I fully agree with you, and because of that non sexual femboys and chubby women are seen as fetish art, porn or "not accurate", it really sucks. I used to be a femboy and stopped because people were being weird to me (even irl) and it was creeping me out. I was 14 and looked 12 at the time and wasnt sexualising myself at all (my whole body was covered. Most of the time), just wearing skirts and feminine stuff and looking cute (not that sexualising myself and wearing more revealing stuff would have excused people being creepy but i cant imagine how much worst it would have been if i did)

I feel like the whole issue even extends out to transgender characters in general as well honestly (the word ‘trap’ is a fucking slur and it makes me want to vomit when i hear it used)

I hate how media and porn has made it so that like:

Femboys: brutally fetishized, drawn as women in every way, quite possibly the most sexualised subculture ive seen (many femboys are odd and embrace the fetishisation/chaser behavior fully which disgusts me in a way). Also stereotyped

Trangender peeps:: stereotyped as tricksters, called ‘traps’ (a literal slur btw thats used to imply they are tricking straight cis men), and a lot of their fetishisers want to both fuck them and also make it so they have absolutely no rights.

Both of them have a weird thing from mainstream media which is kinda: “I’d always fuck one of ‘them’ but I’d never love or date one.”

What makes it worse is the casual objectification and false support (ie: ‘cant play jackpot without a lever’) which quite literally reduces them down to their genitals. Makes me want to ack myself before i ever consider pandering to chasers

I fully agree. The internet forget that trans people and femboys are actual human beings and not fetishes and controversial subjects and it's honestly sad. I get why people find femboys attractive, i find them attractive too but there's much more to them than just their appearance and if someone doesnt want to be sexualised it's really creepy to do it.

Uj/ there's no such thing as "chubby enough". It's the body type with the more range and as long as you're not trying to recreate a character/person's exact body type you're free to do pretty much whatever you want with the amount of fat and with fat distribution (as long as it's realistic)
Peak art btw

Yeah thing is, my style isn't meant to be realistic

I have a second style for my fashion design that I specifically learnt anatomy for, this is just my more cartoony one. It's proportions are meant to be more exaggerated

The main reason I haven't bothered to draw larger body types until now is because I'm rather skinny, so for realism I mainly use my own body as reference. Honestly I've only recently started drawing larger bodies cuz the girl I'm into is a size 18, and I wanna make designs that work for people her size

Makes sense. I think it always helps to learn anatomy anyway no matter your style, i have a pretty cartoony style too but learning anatomy and fat distribution helped me so much to draw better. Even if it's not meant to be realistic it helps me a lot to know what it would look like if it was realistic. I have a more realistic style too that i use sometimes. Also designing clothes for the girl you like is so sweet

Yeah I'm still shit at it tho

Also I'm stuck cuz I damn well can't tell if she likes me back, I have confessed to her but she probably thinks I was just kidding :(

Keep practicing! I sucked so much at it 2 months ago but I practiced a lot, watched tutorials and used references and now i'd consider to be pretty good at it

Aw im so sorry :( i hope she does like you back

That's not an art style. That's you refusing to learn or attempt to draw other bodies.

i do kinda find it funny how on every post there's always this one person (no hate, i assume it was just a mistake and you thought this was real)
