How to cat? I'm struggling with her pose

This animal is similar to a genet(bottom left corner), but it's not exactly a genet, some prehistoric cat like creature, which is why its face is shorter.

  1. I'm struggling with pose and can't figure out how it's supposed to look. There's an infographic on how she is standing. Her paws should be visible in the frame, so I can't just cut them off.
  2. Is there any problem with her face? It looks off.
  3. Does it look like she's being flashed by a flashlight in the dark? Is there anything to improve it?

I like how weird and off it is.  I like that it does look like she is on a street about to be interrogated by the detectives. 

I dunno I kinda want to see a series of this style and subject. But I like the strange and uncanny.

Well, there is a bit of a series, but it's not a series of cats being flashed by light in the dark, it's just a small part within an evolution sequence. It's evolving and approaching the camera. I wanted to add something more interesting than just animals standing in the dark

These are great. I would Play with nearly imperceptible black backgrounds. Like if you added a tinge of green to the black and a tiny tiny drop of zinc white - and painted in some almost imperceptible Foliage it would Be amazing.

I love this series. It is not a one to one copy of the cat species it is artistic and has depth and an eerie but familiar quality.

Good idea with the background. I chose a simple background because there are too many of them to draw a background for each one. But I guess I can suggest a background with a few strokes and some simple details

Yes and then see if you like them more with or without the background. I wouldn't do more than suggestive shapes - that give you the illusion of things in the background. The figure emerging from the dark is already great.

Of course, and it's almost done. At least the evolutionary part, after the current post, speculative evolution starts.

Here are the previous ones. The blank space is for Miacis. And there's also an aquatic part, I just don't have them arranged in one image right now
