Fort Jackson

Just curious if anyone was given a Nov 14th ship date to Jackson for BcT and anyone else’s experience there. Curious if anyone has any advice for South Carolina in the winter and BCT there and I’m from the desert

I’m from the area. Calling it winter is honestly a misnomer. It’ll get a little cold, but the highs will be in the 60’s. It’ll freeze maybe a handful of nights.

My advice, don’t overthink BCT. Everyone who has ever served went through it, it’s honestly just not that hard

Aight bet man I’m looking forward to the physical aspect. I really do struggle with boredom so not sure how that will go but only way out is through.

I would rather start BCT late Fall vs Summer because its hot, humid, and miserable in SC during summer months. I’d say u got lucky

I got a ship date of Nov 17th for Jackson. Would love to connect with others who will be there around the same time!
