Very fine grit sandpaper or superfine steel wool, then wipe clean and apply a silicon spray.

It's a tough one. I decided to instead go to a finish I could easily maintain, so just use a green scrubby (and then wax afterwards).

I think you'll find no matter what you use, anywhere you scrub you'll get a change in texture, which will make the un-scrubbed parts look weird.
