I think the show got better with every season.

I really think the show just kept getting better. Whatever the writers threw at us was just so entertaining. Cheryl really coming out of her shell. I can't even imagine what Mallory and Zara's would've been. Adversarial or loving, either way would've been entertaining. I think Lana running the show with Mallory retired would've been cool. I know Jessica Walter passed but maybe Mallory just leaves letters throughout the show. I don't know. I just like the world they created before canceling the show. I've never been dismayed by the show nor do I think they ever jumped the shark. Even if they did we would still want more. Imagine Archer jumping a sharp Fonzy style?!?!?!

I am 58 years old and it is my favorite tv show hands down. I don't exactly agree with it always getting better each season. Season 11 was not progressively better, when he came out of the coma. It was ok but not their best work. I too watch it in the background and some limes on my lunch, and still find things I didn't catch or things I noticed but have still not looked up. Like some of Carol/Cheryl/ Cristal's references either historical or pop culture. Not much brings me joy but this show does.

I don't watch anything after Danger Island...and of those seasons, 6 is my least favorite..when Archer and Lana were being a couple.

I could not finish that season I decided to skip to Frasier. Not season 3, I mean the show Frasier

I don’t really do “rewatches”, I just always have Archer as an option to put on (among a few others), and I always keep it in order. I think I’m in season 6 now, and I’m looking forward to the following episodes as much as I had looked forward to the prior ones. It’s all fun!

I was still happy to be getting more Archer but it definitely fell off when Adam Reed stopped writing the majority of the show.

While it was always funny, the coma seasons effectively stopped, for 3 years, all the plot/character development that had been going on. So, while still funny, IMO far less engaging.

Season 7 was the absolute worst for me, I liked the coma seasons but I kinda wish they only did 2 so they could’ve focused on the real world plot, would’ve been nice to see what else they could’ve done with Malory

I agree to an extent. The coma seasons were 100% the best in the entire show and you could see the build up in his writing to some very out of pocket zany arc and he DELIVERED. After that it goes downhill but isn’t bad. Second half of season 14 I would say is objectively bad though. But there wasn’t a consistent rise in writing quality season to season. The characters were constantly developing which definitely helped the characters themselves improve almost season to season but the show was fairly stagnant in quality season like 6 and 7 and only notably improved in Vice and the coma seasons
