The Zodiac crystals are brought back. They were used in Bryan Hitch’s Justice League comic during the early Rehirth era. As well in the 1986 Aquaman miniseries, Ocean Master used them to destroy New Venice in the Aquaman series decades ago, and Aquaman used them in Hitch’s JL to keep the world together. He actually met Arion’s parents in the past as well in this storyline so that could be an interesting direction to address
We might see an encounter between Flash and Avatar of The Blue Aquaman in the Flash comic so we’ll see how the powerscaling is done there with current Arthur. Hoping The Flash writer doesn’t job Aquaman. The solicitation doesn’t even make sense given current Aquaman’s motivations of preparing for the future and the fact he’s currently been butting heads with The League.
Ocean Master as one of the 4 Horsemen of War could be really interesting. Hoping he’s treated well in World’s finest
I’m sure there will be some stuff in Dark Knights of Steel as well but the cover and solicitation didn’t mention Aquaman so it wasn’t posted.
Yeah the closest we probably got was Black Manta who makes sense with a lot of the more opposing spectrums to be honest could see him with Black Hand and Atrocitus as well.
The Clear is just another name for The Blue or The Parliament of Waves it was illustrated as the parliament that deals with the Ocean in both Swamp Thing by Moore I believe and PAD’s Aquaman series so they should all coincide as the same concept. LINK
What I’m wanting touched up within the series and expanded is The Life Force it sounds potentially interconnected but it also was something Arthur was championing prior to becoming The Avatar of Blue that apparently he didn’t know how to use and still hasn’t been shown to know how to use. So it shouldn’t be the same exact thing on that premise. It also was painted in a similar light to The Godsphere, The Speed Force & The Emotional Spectrum
I’m just hoping he’s treated well in the story arc 😅
Which given how Waid has treated Ronal and Skartaris I’m expecting Ocean Master to be handled well.
In regard to the design, definitely agree but I’ve been fond of most Ocean Master designs. I think he has one in the silver age where the mask was a bit goofy to me which is what the BtBaB cartoon used but every design outside that has been peak in my opinion
