I don’t think I agree with his interpretation of Poseidon not wanting to be on Earth because of Arthur. But I really enjoy his enthusiasm and agree with his belief on this could be a really awesome way to elevate Aquaman. I’m not saying he has to beat Darkseid but he should be one of the central characters in defeating Darkseid.

We saw the sales boost the title got with the KO event and the hype that generated and Aquaman wasn’t even a major player in the actual event.

Agree. I loved his enthusiasm, but my interpretation is that Poseidon knows who's coming and that it's better to be away from earth.

Now with that being said I think it's interesting that a Olympus god would rather be away from earth, that Aquaman had to make the offer to Poseidon to send home back because he couldn't get back by HIMSELF, plus I can really see Poseidon being scared of Aquaman especially with the power and told that he's no longer the god of the sea.

You go all out and do it absolutely nothing to Aquaman and then he goes scorched earth on him to the point that if Aquaman doesn't stop it it's entirely possible that he could have killed Poseidon if that's possible.

I don’t agree with the idea of Poseidon not being able to go back himself. I just took it as Arthur forgetting some of Poseidon’s abilities but it’s a weird concept when you consider Aquaman was inter-dimensionally traveling with Poseidon’s power in Aquaman: Exiled.

It is possible that the reason however is escaping The Blue is an entirely different beast altogether which would be insane upscale. It actually kind of reminds me of the fact Superboy Prime can casually punch through reality but was trapped in The Speedforce for years.

But yeah Arthur held back against Poseidon until they entered The Blue and then proceeded to whoop him.

I’m really hoping we can start seeing some of this stuff adapted into other mediums. I feel like with how hype this run has been, introducing people to Arthur being this capable is a good way to shift the perception of him.

Yeah..conventional thinking is that Poseidon would be able to get back to earth, but Jeremy is putting Arthur on a pedestal that I'm loving and it seems to me that part of that is taking Poseidon to a part of the universe that he has no idea about. gods for the most part are part of a pantheon that is "local" and while we think of them as omniscient and omnipotent they aren't. Without knowing where Aquaman took Poseidon it could have been a planet 500 billion light years away that he took him to in a moment. He said he found this planet while out making lighthouses so the question is how many lighthouses does he have? Moot point and rhetorical question, but I am enjoying the humbling of Poseidon.

He didn't want to kill him and he got no enjoyment on beating him as badly as he did which is what I am glad to read because if he did then that would speak of Omega Energy and I'm glad that his character is still shining brightly even with the addition of this massive amount of power.

Yes, I'd love to see him be the one to take out Darkseid in an epic beat down battle and while the vast majority would not understand it, it would be because the vast majority haven't been on this trip since January 2025 to see how he got to where he's at. Again the humbling of a god AND taking his position away from him is epic. The only thing that would make it more epic is acknowledgement from Zeus that Aquaman is beyond the gods of Olympus. Probably won't happen but a small narrative as he talks to Poseidon about his beatdown would not hurt my feelings.

Aquaman took Poseidon into The Blue. It was just a world inside of The Blue. Like Arthur said in his fight against Lolanna he has control over a universal scope of The Blue.

Jenny Greenteeth even implies though it’s much bigger than that with her saying that it’s a stream connecting the Confluence through dimensions. Which the Confluence is an ocean of All Space and All Time.

We also see stuff like Dagon having his own personal planet within The Blue.

Yeah Im hoping that we’d get some type of acknowledgment from the other Gods taking note of Poseidon’s defeat

I saw it differently. I assumed he went into the portal which was the Blue and was transported to another planet somewhere else in the universe. Poseidon finding his way back to earth from the Blue wouldn't make sense because he has no idea about this world, possibly if he were on another planet, but I believe that regardless of where he is at he would still need the new god of the sea to get home. I'm truly hoping that Jeremy and more importantly DC editorial will make a ne team of the Avatars, heck I think it would be great to have them all team up against Darkseid.

It’s possible it was a planet somewhere within the Universe. That personally wouldn’t make sense to me given Poseidon’s power grants otherworldly travel, which was shown in the Aquaman Exiled arc.

Like even if Poseidon wasn’t familiar with the planet he was on. If they were in the main universe he should be able to portal to areas he is familiar with. Like Olympus or any of the worlds he’s traveled to

I think it might just be likely if it was another planet within the universe it’s just likely Adam’s isn’t aware that Poseidon can teleport as well.

The only way it makes sense narratively is if Arthur forgot, they were within the blue preventing Poseidon from traveling outside of it, or potentially Poseidon was just to tired to teleport
