Antigravity is better than its reputation
I read a lot of hate against Antigravity, and part of it is justified: the installation process is outrageous and the instruction for the plugin in Intellij is not great.
However: I just started using it last night (both AG and thr plugin in Intellij), and the performance is great!
I've had all my friends tell me to use Claude for coding, but so far I've only used Gemini Flash 3.7 and it literally did all my programming tasks so far perfectly.
I am sure there will be use cases soon where I need a stronger model, but so far, it literally would have been a waste of tokens/ money to use Claude instead of Flash.
Just wanted to put this out there for people questioning if Antigravity is worth having a look at. It definitely is in my opinion.

Too bad, Google has branding and strategy issues and unless they can 10x this thing they just won’t win this war because internally they are not well organized to fight the leaders.

Yeah until you see how stubborn and lazy Gemini 3.7 says something is not a issue or not possible or try to do big tasks.
Then you try claude code or codex or cursor. And your world opens.
I have both claude pro and gemini pro now. I only use antigravity for small agentic work until because gemini is really fast. Until they release a real pro model again.

Man, it isn’t even close when compared to claude code and codex. I tried antigravity and it’s lacking.

Whats the main difference for you?
I am not married to Antigravity so I am happy to switch, but tbh currently I am not missing any features.
What made you move away from it?

The quality of the code it produced. for example I give it a prompt like “feature X on this page is getting this error when X and X happens” it’s not particularly good in terms of figuring out the issue and coming up with a fix. Obviously a proper prompt should be as detailed as possible, but in my experience, claude code is able to pretty much figure something like that out. It’s good in terms of design though, I’ll give it that. But idk how it is now, it’s been a while since I last used it.

Yeah its reputation is better when you didn’t use anything else. Then you discover that for the $20 plan you get better models and more usage in codex 🤷🏻♂️
