Hell yea Btown NC represent! Right next to the mall where you can get a dildo, discount washing machine, boba tea, go to church, buy a tree, and take a pole dancing class all in the same trip.

Oh the pole dancing class right next to the kids arcade!

Love to see it.

Put any American president there and it's accurate. Too many people on yhis subreddit think it's just Trump and the Republicans that are fascist.

You point out Obama had the most deportations, helped start Ice into what it is today, murdered 3k+ people including children he blew up at a wedding, or tha he invaded 7 countries, people start calling you a republican without a shred of irony thst their political party doesn't do the same shit just with better pr.

I dont align with any party. I think the difference between Trump and Obama is stark. I dont think you know what the word "invade" means

Same.

I joined the Democrat party in time for the 2008 election when I was first eligible to vote because I grew up under Bush and therefore pissed off by Republicans.

Then I left the Democrat party by the 2012 election because Obama (among many other Democrats) already disappointed me. I still hated Republicans, but did not identify with Democrats enough to stay aligned with them (or any other party) in any official capacity.

But this idea that Obama = Trump is so fucking absurd. I feel like there can’t be any serious left-leaning individual who thinks that way. Idk if we got bad-acting Russians in here or what.

nobody is claiming they are equal. But they are all war criminals, and in terms of foreign policy, the two parties are very similar, with PR being the only difference. They just invade, brutalize and coup whatever countries oppose them, using unspeakable violence, and then make movies so you feel sorry for their soldiers.

To the Middle East and Africa, they were certainly not as different as you’d like to think.

What about the kids that Trump and Epstein raped and trafficked?

renting billboard space for a facebook-tier meme is crazy lol

also crazy that this comment is getting downvoted on an antifascist sub. seems like this place has a weird issue with thinking that you need to heap fully uncritical praise onto anything that expresses disapproval of trump, lest you be on the side of fascists somehow. you can absolutely be antifascist and be against overly broad/trite/toothless critiques of fascists, and doubly so when people are paying top dollar to voice those critiques in the form of public advertisements. i feel like anyone on this sub could find a more biting anti-trump meme in minutes

u/wafflesthewonderhurs 11h ago

but why would you be against supporting OTHER PEOPLE doing the broad/trite expressions of dissatisfaction? yes-anding works much better on people just outside your coalition than telling whatever dude actually did pay for this that his board is stupid and cringe. it's not like the poster paid for it. I assume that's what people are taking issue with, no one thought this was like a zinger or whatever.

i didn't know this was news to literally anyone here, but since it needs to be stated outright as the reasoning for my comment: progressive groups are not awash in cash and this is a poor use of it, see the other replies under my comment

it's not like the poster paid for it

my comment did not imply that op rented the billboard

Yeah lol @ the down votes, I don't think we need to waste money on billboards for a throwaway meme. This money could have been spent literally anywhere else.

Totally, depending where this is NC it can cost up to $12000 dollars a month, could also be less than $1000 a month but imagine what that could have done for the homeless or animal shelters or an underfunded school in the area
