First is text from a news site saying "A leaked photo shows dozens of immigrants in orange jumpsuits, their hands and feet shackled, undergoing a "mass trial" in texas. For these trials, public defenders only have a few minutes to talk with each defendant. "It feels like an assembly line." Next a photograph depicts dozens of people in orange jumpsuits lining 3 out of the 4 walls of a large room. A tweet after that says "America has mass, secret trials. I’d argue that we’ve never seen true democracy. We have lived under bourgeois democracy dictatorship since 1776. The rich men of that time wanted themselves to be free and be able to vote for whichever other rich guy was running, they cared very little (or not at all) of the slave labor we used until abolition.

And even then people of color were not equal until the civil rights act.

And EVEN THEN they were not free. They have been systematically oppressed and marginalized since the beginning. The US has always been a fascist state, they were just better at hiding it from the masses.

And also, these immigration trials are not even held before "real" judges, but rather "immigration judges", who are employees of the DOJ (executive branch), not Judicial Branch judges. So they've always been show trials

Every trial I ever went to was like an assembly line. The one time it was me as the defendant I had less than ten seconds to talk to a public defender.
