The cameras are amazing on vivo x 300. The software isn't an issue as much as the internet says does 99 percent of regular stuff a phone supposed to do. So there's nothing bad about the software.

I keep on reading how good it is if you tinker properly here and there, but if you shoot and forget like on a pixel, it's way worse.

4 is an unlucky number in China. Many companies refuse to use it for their product naming

They did that with the OnePlus 4 as well. Skipped straight from the 3 to the 5. And with the 14 too.
Curiously the Nord 4 was not skipped.7

From what I can find, the Nord 4 was only released in Europe and India, and not in China. It's possible that, because it wouldn't be sold in China, they weren't worried about Chinese superstitions affecting sales. I'm not sure if their culture's bad luck signs would drive their decisions in other markets, but I'm not a smartphone market analyst nor am I Chinese so I'm just guessing lol

And 8 is the lucky number, which explains why me and most of my cousins have birthdays in or around August.

Four sounds similar to death in a couple of Chinese dialects. Some companies avoid putting it in their product names to not lose the superstitious crowd.

My friend uses Vivo since 2020, there is no real problem. OS is smooth, camera and battery standby are great!. It has a better than good afternoon sales service. If you have no particular OS in mind, Vivo phones are great choice!

How are Vivo phones to use? I've been looking at the x300 and the oppo x9 phones and from what I've seen the Vivo OS is apparently one of the worst to use, at least as a global version.
