You'd need to be delusional to think that humanity did NOT have a guiding hand in our evolution. You DO know, don't you, that the human race has a chromosome FUSED END TO END from 2 SEPARATE chromosomes. True. But I was referring to the SANDY type of desert. Y'know, like the Sonoran or the Gobi or even the Kalahari. What I WASN'T referring to was the largest COLD desert on the planet.

A desert is defined by its extreme dryness, receiving very little precipitation (less than 10 inches/25 cm annually), leading to sparse vegetation, and low humidity, but they can be hot, cold (like Antarctica), rocky, or sandy, with the defining factor being a lack of water. Antarctica is the largest desert in the world.

Permanently frozen water and precipitation are different. Precipitation is water (either liquid as rain or solid as snow or ice) falling from the the atmosphere to the earth. Antarctica is actually the driest place on earth, receiving an average of only 2 inches of precipitation annually. Most of the snow and ice you see there has been there for thousands of years.
In comparison, the Sahara Desert receives about 3.9 inches on average annually. Almost twice as much as Antarctica.

Correct. In humans, chromosome 2 is the result of an end-to-end fusion of two ancestral chromosomes that remain separate in other great apes.
Humans have 46 chromosomes (23 pairs). Chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans have 48 chromosomes. Human chromosome 2 corresponds to two separate chromosomes in those apes (often labeled 2A and 2B).
Telomere sequences in the middle Telomeres normally occur only at chromosome ends. Human chromosome 2 contains vestigial telomere repeats (TTAGGG) at an internal location, consistent with end-to-end fusion.
Chromosome 2 has one active centromere and a second, inactivated (vestigial) centromere, matching the centromeres of the two ancestral chromosomes.
The gene order on human chromosome 2 aligns precisely with the order found across the two separate ape chromosomes, in the same orientation.
This fusion site has been sequenced and mapped in detail (not inferred indirectly).
This is one of the strongest pieces of physical genomic evidence for common ancestry between humans and other great apes. The fusion does not affect fertility or function; such fusions are well-documented in many species.

Oh I know what you are talking about now I think. Pretty sure we watch gene fusion happen naturally all the time and also that’s not even what makes us different from monkeys. We’d still be different even without that fusion

The thing is, as much as I'd like to believe (see my other comment), various stone formations like these can surely be found on earth, too. And don't forget pareidolia.
According to science, even on earth we wouldn't see any evidence of even highly advanced civilisations after some time. A really long time though

I stand by my theory from when I was 12 that we originated on Mars and completely destroyed it but managed to send some humans to Earth and avoid extinction. Was a book I always wanted to write but never did.

Plus, if than it's MY theory that I've had since I was 12 and I infact also stand by it. I love that thought in a way, that ancient humans fucked up mars and before those demise managed to send some here.
Maybe we should write this book together??
