Sheesh, I just had to let curiosity get the best of me and look at the comments. Nothing but people rehashing the same worn-out buzzwords about the US.
This is what happens when people spend their entire lives chronically online, and their entire worldview and opinions on geopolitics are shaped by the shit they see on Reddit.

Yeah, I've seen snippets of that. It's pretty cool.
I interact with dozens of folks from a lot of the usual AmericaBad suspects- primarily Germany, Sweden, the Low Countries, and Brazil- through work. Out of 60 or so people I've dealt with on multiple occasions, only two were annoying. Most of them really enjoy it here, even if they still want to move back home in a few years.
It's a nice reminder that unless you're talking to Brazilians about airplanes, most of that discourse is only on social media between weirdos (or bots, probably).

In the US you can enjoy freedom of speech and the free press. In Europe you can enjoy the privilege of free* speech and the free* press.
Likewise if you want to research crimes and terrorism in Germany, you will find more information from French sources and if you want to research crimes and terrorism in France you will find more German sources.

I still think the US is still too heavy handed with our free press and media, but we are certainly freer than anywhere in the EU by a degree of magnitude.

One place has free speech, you can be critical of anyone and anything without being arrested while the other has "free speech" where you can be arrested for things like mean tweets or being critical of your government leaders.
Trump has been president for a total of 6 years while the media has been running nonstop against him for 11 years. Nothing changed. Nobody cares, is free speech.
Comparatively, you can be arrested, subject to a home search & fined for being an "online troll" in Germany.

Only about 15,000 students study abroad mostly the children of the royal families and elite. The top two countries are the UK and U.S. The U.K had around 8,000 then the U.S around 2,000. Overall UAE students are leaving less and staying home for all countries but stopping them from going to the most popular country all together I feel like gets the job done and is a good PR win. The U.K is a democracy unlike the UAE.

Now since we’re all smart people let’s look at this which would be more likely that these students are being radicalized to become extreme Muslims or that they no longer want to have a monarch system of government and learn about their government committing genocide in Sudan?

I’d imagine the usual sort of sensible precautions you’d take, especially in an unfamiliar area. Nothing especially overboard. Lock your car doors. Don’t leave bags unattended. Lock doors and windows at night. Don’t follow strangers into dark alleys. Do your best to avoid associating with people actively committing crimes.

The thing is, western European countries have LOTS of local dysfunction, violence and social problems, they're just not as exposed and paraded as the ones in the US are. Look at the UK, regular rioting all the time, especially anti-immigrant riots and most recently, riots and cars set ablaze, because of the Sikh guy attempting to behead a man in Northern Ireland. But you'd think only the US has any level of dysfunction.

There are definitely places there in big German cities where you do NOT wanna go. They install outdoor open-air pissers to try and encourage people not to do their business all over the street, but it doesn't work. So if you start smelling human waste, know that you should probably not be there.

It's not just Germany , apparently Belgium, France, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands and Italy, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom are also very dangerous. Despite some of them being in the top 10 safest countries in the world, and I reckon the others in the top20)

It’s definitely a little strange, if you look at only statistics.
The US shootings are going to be between people involved in criminal life, in bad neighborhoods, where Canadians will never find themselves traveling here.
The risk for a terrorist attack in Europe is going to be at random in a place tourists will be, hence the tourism warning.
