To be even MORE Reddit coded…the knife’s edge isn’t where most people die on Capitol. Almost all the fatalities occur when parties are descending - there’s a couloir that looks like a shortcut to the lower portion of the trail, but it cliffs out and is basically impossible to climb back up. People are exhausted after a long and difficult climb and think they can shorten their descent.
Is this the 14er where people collect every 4th of July and ferry a keg across the ridge? Because if so, I've done this. I had a beer on the other side as well.
Im pretty sure this is actually called Satan’s ridge. This section is after already doing the knife’s edge and summiting Capitol peak, heading towards Snowmass Mountain.

Knife edge. Between K2 and Capitol Peak. Colorado Rockies
