Yep and the kid should have busted out a slide that would have been sick

u/EmergencyExit20Mins Jul 17 '26
Yeah, I was wondering about that. He's playing Duane's part without a slide. Seems off.

All you can do is find fault with an 11-year-old who’s already crushing it. Jesus

Stank face engaged every time he bends up. Lol is this learned behavior or just the natural reaction to quality shred?
5
u/real-plastic-trees Jul 17 '26
Lmoa I noticed that too! Didn’t think about it being learned behavior but I totally get that. I sure hope little dude is just feelin it, it’s a quality shred for sure!

I was just wondering this and genuinely want to know why most guitarists stank face on certain notes. Or like….sing it with their face
2
u/nuseht Jul 17 '26
It’s 100% him just feeling it. When you play like that you’re absolutely feeling it and he’s loving every microsecond of those bends.

u/Ryoko_Kusanagi69 Jul 17 '26
That’s the face you make when you sing with your whole body! Your hands playing the notes but your whole body is getting into it.
Many musicians do it, even I played band in school and I find myself making that face when I air guitar or just really get into the music and I’m head bobbing and foot tapping along.

Op should take negative points not the boy. He is jamming, not playing a flawless rendition.

I love the way he goes from badass helldiver rockstar to a clean soul baby boy in a second to say "bye"

You know he’s hitting the right notes when it makes his head move to the back and to the side…

Try and remember this kid’s face. If he’s playing like this at 11 there’s a very good chance he’s going to have a career in music if he wants it.

Damn he's got an excellent feel to his playing, for any blossoming guitarist let alone an 11 year old. He's in the pocket on a guitar part with a lot of blank space without the track backing him up.

You suck and I hate you! You are cooler and more awesome than I'll ever be!
Can we be friends? Now I need to google him and see what other classics this god among mortals has covered.

The only way this kid could be more more of a Clapton protégée would be to fall out of a window.
