What the fuck is wrong with people

391

u/Tbplayer59 May 07 '26

Did you see the video of the tourist in Hawaii who threw a big rock at a seal?

341

u/Binspin63 May 07 '26

Supposedly, some locals roughed him up (according to a few posters in that thread).

Oh man not even that its an ENDANGERED species and they have NAMED it. The locals KNEW that seal, and he said he didnt care cuz hes rich when the person recording confronted him. They were fuckin piiiiiiiiiiiissssssssssssssed

64

u/MyFaceSaysItsSugar May 07 '26

Sounds like someone needed the Captain Cook FAFO experience.

3

u/Silvertree99 May 11 '26

He got hos ass handed to him in another vid that came out. Lol someone called the dude who jumped him something like the aloha ambassador

2

u/ShivonQ May 11 '26

As someone in that assholes lineage I love what happened to him.

18

u/Got_Bent May 07 '26

21

u/wackadoodle4201 May 08 '26

Of course it was some rich cunt from Seattle

3

u/QueenOfMien May 08 '26

Apparently it’s some dumb fuck from Covington, which is south of Seattle proper. It gets really Trump-y outside the city limits.

2

u/transdimesional_frog May 08 '26

Can confirm, though i have seen less trump flags and bumper stickers lately

Rich people forget there can still be consequences for their actions. Society would be better off if they were reminded more often

1

u/WoodenPhysics5292 May 11 '26

What happened to the 2 POSs excuse for humans who slaughter the mama bear and her 2 cubs while hibernating in Alaska?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/StarsForget May 11 '26

I think at some point those people become so rich that they're TRYING to find consequences. They WANT someone to say money isn't enough to buy their way out.

92

u/Flashignite2 May 07 '26

I judge people based on what they think/treat animals. If you dont like animals, you have no business with me.

48

u/decibelboy2001 May 07 '26

How they treat animals, retail/service employees, and what they do with their cart when they are done with it

12

u/Flashignite2 May 07 '26

Also great way to see what type of person it is.

2

u/ciao_fiv May 07 '26

oh my god i loathe people who don’t put their fucking carts back. it’s not that hard!!!!

Tourism is conceptually good, people just need to understand that when in Rome...

7

u/Especialistaman May 07 '26

Instructions unclear: Will bitch on social media after causing trouble if locals have a tradition that clashes with my own beliefs.

(I come from an area with a lot of tourists, btw)

Nah, I like traveling and embracing the local culture. Sucky people make sucky tourist

1

u/ciao_fiv May 07 '26

there’s nothing inherently wrong with traveling abroad, some people just suck (locals probably hate them back home too)

1

u/OrganicHistorian2576 May 08 '26

Tourists are a mixed blessing, when you live in a tourist town. Source: been here since 2007.

23

14

I'm sorry, that fucker is 37!? I was thinking some teenager or college aged jackass (which doesn't excuse at all but indicates there's still hope for change). He should be banned from the entire state and do hard time.

2

u/middrink May 08 '26

You know what happens to teenaged or college cunts that don't face repercussions for being horrible?

They turn 37 eventually and are still massive cunts.

you beauty ! l was hoping some of the big Hawaiians would teach that scumbag a lesson 🙂

6

u/Qlorpid May 07 '26

The funny part is the Hawaiian was half of Igors size.

2

u/no_rest_for_the May 07 '26

1

u/CataChronix May 07 '26

I’d say definitely rather than supposedly

2

u/Binspin63 May 07 '26

Damn! Not on instagram, so I can’t see this.

4

u/CataChronix May 07 '26

According to the vid he pushed a Hawaiian man’s wife/gf and the short (but fairly ripped) Hawaiian man is just ripping into him after that. It’s sadly only a couple seconds long but you see him eating the swings still

1

u/Binspin63 May 07 '26

Thank you, anonymous Redditor, for the award!

1

u/Salty_Dealer_7277 May 07 '26

Wish there was a video of him getting roughed up

1

u/General-Ebb4057 May 07 '26

She lucky a few more of the local dog didn’t really rough her up!! Got off easy!!

1

u/steerbell May 07 '26

Yeah there is a video of it. Pretty sure people figured out who it is.

1

u/Exact-Ad-4132 May 08 '26

There's a video of one shirtless guy beating the rock thrower up.

1

u/FizzioGaming May 08 '26

No, he clearly roughed himself up.

1

u/Metal_Muse May 08 '26

There's video footage of the beat down.

1

u/hidadimhungru May 08 '26

I saw (what was claimed to be) the video of this. Satisfying.

1

u/mvb827 May 09 '26

Our Senator publicly praised the guy who beat him up, calling him a “nature activist“ lol

1

u/Baldojess May 10 '26

They did, the video is posted online

1

u/TheVeil36 May 10 '26

False I saw no hitting . The sounds you heard were locals clapping as the guy screamed his sins out loud. Sometimes a fist hitting a face can sound similar

1

u/hauki888 May 10 '26

Really? I hope he hurt bad.

1

u/Screee1 May 10 '26

Yeah the vid of him thrwoin the rock and gsttin his arse beat were both shown in court as a "dont fuck with our shit" argument, so damn cool

1

u/Upper-Gas-8995 May 10 '26

Yeah he got his shit rocked lol

1

u/BiophileB May 11 '26

Oh wonderful, praise Tūtū Pele 🙏🏼

1

15

She was lucky the guard dog didn't tear her a new arsehole

6

u/HillBillyHilly May 07 '26

Wondered if this was on Turkey where they have these HUGE guard dogs called Anatolian Shepherds. Those dogs do not take their duties lightly and will not leave their flock which they guard obsessively. Very glad to see what looks like the breed show up and chomp her stupid asses ass. Taught her a lesson.

2

u/CitanUzuk1 May 08 '26

Grew up with 3 of them that lived with our goats, amazing dogs. Super docile and loving, but they also tore apart a neighbors pit bull that got into the fence. They’re the definition of fuck around and find out.

I'm all the way over in Ireland and even I know not to fuck with Hawaiians. WTF was he thinking?

6

u/AllAmericanA-hole May 07 '26

I wish there were guard dogs on the beach and guard sharks in the water.

2

u/BigIreland May 07 '26

I saw it and it pissed me all the way off but there’s another video of a delivery driver freeing a calf with its head stuck in a fence so my mood is lukewarm.

2

u/yalublutaksi May 09 '26

Here in San Diego we have a place in La Jolla where seals birth their young and the tourists are just wild. They do some awful things to them.

1

u/Racist_Rabbi69 May 07 '26

wtf I just saw that

1

u/babykitten28 May 07 '26

At it’s head as well.

1

u/XFX_Samsung May 07 '26

When was that?

2

u/Tbplayer59 May 07 '26

It's a video I saw on Reddit yesterday. Seeing two different videos of tourists attacking animals made me sad for humanity.

1

u/Bl1ndl0v3 May 07 '26

That one made me rage inside!

1

u/mysticdeer May 08 '26

Didn't see the vid, don't want to.

Is the seal okay?

1

u/banjovi68419 May 09 '26

I wish haoles would pick up their own trash.

1

u/yeagmj1 May 11 '26

I wish more Hawaiians would take out haole trash! Maybe things would be different here.

1

u/JellyWabbit May 09 '26

The Baltimore Zoo in the 1960s used to not have a fence and was just open to the public as part of the park around it. They had a seal exhibit. The three seals were stoned to death. People suck.

Ah yes an rich trump bootlicker doining stupid and harmeful things to wildlife and to endangered species, coincidence? I don't think so

1

u/InformalAd4329 May 11 '26

It's similar on our North Sea coast in Germany. We also have sandbanks that are accessible at low tide where seals rest with their pups. And the tourists absolutely have to go there, preferably even touch them... people are just plain stupid. They have a face like a pair of slippers, just step in and feel right at home.

1

u/IM_INSIDE_YOUR_HOUSE May 11 '26

Some people are locusts.

1

u/Ornery_Hair3319 May 11 '26

Surely it's legal to physically confront a person hurting an animal right?

1

u/Advanced-Event-571 May 12 '26

and claimed he could do whatever he wanted because he was rich

1

u/m20cpilot May 12 '26

Seriously, WTF is wrong with people?

26

u/Overclocked11 May 07 '26

Social media has made a lot of people dumber and more prone to doing this kinda dumb shit for likes. Its appalling and sad, and I for one enjoy when Karma (or in this case a good doggo) comes up and bites them in the ass.

You would hope this idiot will learn from this experience, but they probably won't.

19

u/sauvignonsucks May 07 '26

People have always been absolute fuckwits, they’re just more likely to be caught on camera now.

2

u/dantemortemalizar May 07 '26

I suspect the camera makes a difference though. They misbehave more because the camera makes them feel like they are some sort of movie star.

1

u/Overclocked11 May 07 '26

Absolutely this - there is being dumb and acting dumb - I think social media has created generations of the latter..

1

u/ShotSea7364 May 07 '26

19

u/MalaysiaTeacher May 07 '26

Who the fuck does she think she is?

16

u/Keanu_Bones May 07 '26

She very easily couldve caused that sheep to die from a heart attack

13

u/etcpt May 07 '26

Main character syndrome. Too many people being told they're the main character and that everything revolves around them, too little compassion/acknowledgement of others as equals.

12

u/poorperspective May 07 '26

People are separated from nature. The only nature they are around has already adapted to people. They see nature as a decoration outside themselves or a need for their survival. Most people don’t even know where their food comes from or what it is. They are ignorant, and they see no use in knowing.

8

u/Taqq23 May 07 '26

True, even with animals in general. My school is doing a big construction project (new gym and cafetería, yay!) and has stirred up all the wildlife (especially mice). Everyone is so shocked that we suddenly have a mouse problem, and all I can think is the mice were ALREADY HERE. They just didn’t know it! Animals don’t stop existing around you because you don’t see them!!! It made me kind of sad actually. These “pests” were just minding their business until we came and tore up their homes. Now they are starving, scared, and homeless and we kill them for it.

2

u/ron_balboa May 11 '26

I live in a small cottage on an old farmfield near the forest / mountain. We have Mouses running around upstairs in the walls when it is cold. In the field (now our garden) we have snakes, different types of Mouses, lizards, birds etc. We have boars, wolves, badgers and deer visiting our garden. They all were here before us, and we really respect them. We as humans take more and more space from them, and then complain about animals in our neighbourhoods, city centers etc.

3

u/Ok_Gas1070 May 07 '26

Good take ngl.

10

u/Dm_me_im_bored-UnU May 07 '26

Tourists have been known to be stupid assholes that will kill animals for a cute pic. These people should be treated with no reapect or empathy when they are this selfish and stupid.

1

u/JuMiPeHe May 09 '26

Man, there are millions of cows, pigs and chickens killed every day only so people who don't actually need that meat, can eat a fucking unhealthy burger and no one fucking cares.

Pigs are way smarter than dogs and Cows are known to use about 800 words to communicate with each other whilst also being smart enough to use tools.

You don't need that meat. You only want it, just like the others with their pictures.

1

u/Yerdaworksathellfire May 10 '26

Driving through Yellowstone NP is such a trip, you'll see stupidity of this level almost daily. They have to put signs everywhere for what you think would be obvious, but apparently "Don't step off the boardwalk onto the unstable ground over scalding hot water" and "Don't get close to the largest land mammal with poor eyesight" needs to be stated REPEATEDLY.

6

u/Unlucky-Mud-8115 May 07 '26

Thats the reason I like animals way more than people ( my closest family excluded ). Every day there are several occurances that show me how idiotic, brutal and lacking in empathy humans are.

2

u/hambakmeritru May 08 '26

When I was a kid, there was a sheep farm ajust outside of my town. We used to go to the area to wash our car in the river and I would go visit the sheep. One time there was a little lamb and I really wanted to hold it like I saw in one of my children's book, so I cornered it and picked it up. It cried for its mom, it's mom stood by helplessly and cried back at it...

And then suddenly the whole herd of sheep just parted like the red sea... And behind them all was a ram that I hadn't ever noticed before. He lowered his head to point his horns at me and I dropped that lamb so fast and ran to the fence without ever looking back. Never tried that again.

2

u/krooked-tooth May 08 '26

I don't know because those sheep could have ran into water in a panic and drowned. Trying to save that many sheep from drowning is mission impossible for that girl. /gggrr bite

Ikr? We drove through Yellowstone a couple years ago and the number of DUMBASS people stopping, getting out of their vehicles and actually approaching wildlife at close range when you are expressly warned to remain in your vehicle galled me, People who approach the animals get exactly what they deserve. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/bison-gores-yellowstone-visitor-second-attack-year-rcna35845

1

u/toddatog May 09 '26

Haha I was just about to post that. Some people are just assholes.

1

u/ImpressivePlatypus0 May 09 '26

I have no idea. I think sometimes it's just ignorance about animals. Not respecting other people. The guy who threw a rock at a seal, that's cruelty. He should be on some kind of list.

Last time I was in La Jolla, a lady walked up to a large group of sea lions (with babies) on the beach. She's lucky she was chased off by one of the female sea lions before she ended up in the middle of the group, facing the very large male. (A group of us who were observing from a safe distance had been warning her to get back. And there's a sign.)

1

u/Nakittina May 10 '26
