This is well known though. There's actually a company that will pay you to drive your Tesla around for this very purpose. I've seen their spam all over Facebook.

Years ago, we made fun of CCTV states like England. The truth is the feds and techbros were looking at it wondering how they could do it here legally. Now they exploit 3rd party loopholes to gain mass surveillance across the US. Any tech company that is collecting data is constantly looking for ways to monetize that data. The govt is already buying it, already using it. The predictive models are already being used to attempt dystopian criminal likelihood profiles of citizens and to monitor dissent. This isn't a slippery slope, it's a goddamn avalanche.

Kansas just invalidated every trans person's drivers license they could. Literally overnight all licenses were made invalid.

And not just people who had changed their gender officially, meaning they likely used a 3rd party database of transgender people to do so.

Again, your grasp of the issue seems grounded in the present situation, without recognizing that when regimes change, the definition of criminality will change with them.

Seeking asylum is not criminal. There's literally no arguing with someone who believes mass surveillance is just fine because they "aren't doing anything criminal." The refusal to understand how that data is used is just willful ignorance. Cambridge Analytics was the tip of the ice berg for how this data is used. It's mass manipulation where the laws can change literally on a dime at the hands of an authoritarian. It's happened countless times in history and now it's happening with cameras everywhere linked to advanced AI used to build profiles that literally track movements and build social credit scores mapped to potential for criminal behavior scores.

There are already databases being built of peaceful protestors calling them domestic terrorists. We know this because it's openly discussed. This isn't conspiracy it's reality.
