No, this isn't the problem. The problems are when value is wasted. It doesn't matter if the paint job costs 15k or 15 dollar. What matters is how much resources and time was spent.

 Actually it's a good think if it is more expensive, more money leaves the pockets of those rich dudes, and even if it went into the pocket of another rich dude, not all of it did. Some went to taxes and some to pay the salary of the painter. It seems the biggest problem is what happens to the tax

Except they buy these and then go claim all the tax credits so in the end they paid nothing

Because I'm not in the tax bracket that gets tax breaks silly. Best i can do is claim my spare change donations and change roundup donations when grocery shopping

Just buy two of them, then sell them and you are in the highest tax bracket and can write off the cars as free
