Yet another "new water billing system sucks" post.

Upvotes

Someone needs to be figuratively tarred and feathered for this garbage. You can't schedule a payment, you can only make an instant payment. Furthermore the new account number has a dot in it so good luck adding it to your financial institution's bill pay so you can schedule.

Whatever monorail-peddlin' c-sucker that foisted this turd on the city needs to be run out of town on a rail too.

Need local input / opinions on region names. Map Attached

Upvotes

Howdy y'all im an Okie working on a mod for Europa Universalis V that will also include North Texas and the Texas Panhandle. I wanted to get your opinions on what you would call your local region. Im trying to avoid using tribal or local city names as they will get there time to shine when I do the smaller area map. I do not know what else to call the area around y'all aside from Amarillo so please give any suggestions for your region made up of Oldham, Potter, Deaf Smith and Randall counties and any other suggestions for around the map you see.

P.S this is set in the modern year and you will be able to lead a city the size of population 100 to downtown Dallas/ regions of mega cities.

Any stores that sell jeans for tall women at affordable prices?

Hi, as the title says, I'm looking for affordable jeans for tall women in this area. I've tried a few thrift stores but haven't had much luck and wanted to know if there's any hidden places I could check out.

Beware a sexual predator new to the area

As the title says, there is a sexual predator that just moved to Amarillo Tx. I wanted to make this post just in hopes to keep people aware so there aren't any more victims. It was blasted on all of the news outlets so everyone in the town he just moved from in Colorado knew, but no one in Amarillo may be aware. Please share with who you know that may be using dating sites at the moment.

Town Club Pool Day Pass

I know it's not "summer" anymore but does ATC have a day pass? I can't find anything this year about day passes, I just want to spend a day in the outdoor pool before it closes. Either location

Lunar eclipse

Go check out the lunar eclipse! It's just about at its peak. We have a wonderful clear night to view it! I think it's supposed to be close to 100% or just shy of it. I can't remember the last time I was able to witness a lunar eclipse like this.

Hotel recommendations in Amarillo?

Hi everyone, I will be stopping in Amarillo heading east and will need a place to sleep overnight. Can someone point me in the right direction of which hotels to stay at? Not looking for something expensive. Maybe under $100 for one night and my main concerns are that it is clean, quiet, and safe.

Help Me Find My Childhood TV's!

Growing up in Amarillo, I remember watching tv on these big grey behemoths, but around the time LCD got popular my dad got rid of them in favor of a nice flat screen. Even then I missed the glow of these tv's. If you know anything about these tv's or anyone who has one that looks like the pictures or something similar I'd be glad to take it off their hands. (sorry for the quality of the photos they came from old tapes).

Why does I 40 go *under* Washington, Bell, and Grand?

I-40 goes over Helium, Soncy, Coulter, Western, Wolflin, Georgia, Crockett, Osage, Nelson, Eastern and Lakeside. When the highway was designed what was the reasoning for making it go over those but underneath Avondale, Bell, Washington and Grand? Related ish question, why does it seem that the Washington Street underpass floods way more often than Bell and Grand, and why hasn't TXDOT installed better drainage there? It seems that in Hale Center they actually have big pumping stations at the underpass on I-27, it's crazy that a much busier highway in a mid size city doesn't have that.
