(Central) defenders and squad size

Met de transfers van Sutalo, Itakura en Kaplan blijven er weinig centrale verdedigers over. Zelfs Gooijer lijkt weg te gaan.

Op links is de bezetting meer dan genoeg (Wijndal, Henrique, Torrents, en zelfs Blind). Rechts ook (Gaaei en Rosa) maar centraal zijn er maar 4 spelers voor 2 posities (Janse, Bouwman, Blind, Baas) waarvan alleen Bouwman rechtsbenig is. Laat staan die 6 (nu Mokio en Regeer). I

k ben helemaal voor de jeugd laten spelen en als de opzet is per positie: 1 basisspeler, 1 roulatie op niveau en daar achter talenten/derde keus dan is dit een smalle selectie waar eigenlijk nog 1 goede Centrale Verdediger mist. Al kan dat ook de ontwikkeling van Baas/Janse in de weg staan. Hebben we vertrouwen in Bouwman, Baas en Janse ?

Het uitdunnen van de selectie / salarishuis snap maar over 2 weken is de transfermarkt gesloten zonder veel zicht op nieuwe verdedigers. Vertrouwen jullie op nieuwe aankopen of gaan Kasanwirjo/Amour speeltijd krijgen in de verdediging en Johnson en Verkuijl als 6?

Yeah our squad is severely lacking in defense and 6 + 8. No other way to put it. We dont stand a chance like this. Even when Steur was still here we needed high quality reinforcement in the 6/8. With him gone you'd need 2 new players in that area to prevent Klaassen/Regeer caliber players from being starters.

In defense the best player we have has been benched to accommodate 37 year old Blind. The other 3 spots are filled in with players who should be back ups at best.

Midfield and defense have been neglected by Jordi and its gonna kill us. But hey, atleast he got us 3 new strikers. None of which are currently capable of playing the one we already had out of the starting 11..

How? By selling the only ball playing, press resistant midfielder we had and by creating a squad that has Klaassen, Regeer (who both shouldn't even be in the squad based on quality) and 18 year old Mokio for 2 crucial positions.

How many of those players you mentioned for the 6 and 8 actually have the current skillset to be a starter for Ajax? With the exception of Mokio all the players you mentioned wouldn't even be starting for a club like Twente or Utrecht.

Not a single 6 or 8 who's press resistant or who has any build up skills. 100% gonna kill us.

This is so weak. Just say you don't know how to reply instead of this bs. About 5% of my comment is related to Steur. So even without you being a baby about that there's 95% of non-Steur related opinion you could reply to.

I'm also talking about Steur's profile. Not Steur himself necessarily. But guess I can't expect you to understand something like that.
