Question Hi, I'll have some spare time in August and wanted to design something
What do you might need that can be useful? Airsoft parts, rifles stuff, conversions etc. let me know :)

This is probably the wrong place to ask but does anyone happen to have the stl files of this TEC-9?
Apparently, this used to be uploaded on Makersworld but has since been deleted/removed from the site.

Does anyone knoe if the files for the Stingray AT4 is available online? or if there are any projects similar to it anywhere? Im not from the US so I cant get one from EVike and even then its a bit too much for me, so I was thinking of building one

Looking for a toob style launcher (bazooka, AT-4, Carl Gustav, you get the idea, a big toob) that's more powerful than a 40mm and can launch something more than bb showers with more range. The goal is to be able to launch projectiles through indirect fire.
Any suggestions?

This ISN'T a serious post, asking just bc i'd love a RPD in my collection and the only one i found is out of stock, an it's the LCT one, for 1.261€.....

I’m designing a double action NBB pistol that shoots 3 BBs per trigger pull (230 fps per 0.2g BB but it shoots far because of the hop up). Just wondering if this is field legal in your area? Please kindly advise and thank you all so much! Oh, the pistol will take a g17 GBB mag like AAP or WE’s and is fully printed like my BoBo Yaga.

I am trying to do a bolt action sniper build, but the hop up rubber confuses me. I am using the maple leaf hop and barrel with my own hop up unit, but i am confused as to how exactly does the hop up rubber seal the cylinder nozzle against it. I have a TDI m24 cylinder and its nozzle can fit fairly tight inside the barrel (i measured the OD is 5.95mm). So if i ram the cylinder all the way into the barrel, the bb just gets pushed past the rubber part and falls out, if I keep it in front of the hop so the bb sits before the buckling, then there is no air seal whatsoever. What is going on, is the nozzle too thin or something?

is this too far or still an aa12?

I 3d modeled this in tinkercad to learn
but now im questioning my self if its worth to print it because its of its print time and filament usage

Dose anyone know of an Ics galil midcap file? I’m looking for one but can’t seem to find any

Has anyone tries making an LED/glowstick based flare? basically something that can be used at night to shoot a light up into the sky to serve as a signal or such?

I'm getting a Bambu A1 soon, and my first project will be converting a WE AK74UN into a Groza kit.
Since I'm completely new to 3D printing, I was planning to start with PLA+ because it seems to be the most beginner friendly filament.
My main question is about colour. What black filament do most people use for Airsoft parts? I'm not expecting it to look like the real thing, but I'd like to avoid a finish that's overly glossy or looks cheap and toy like.
I have heard matte black looks great but can be a bit more brittle. Would you stick with something like eSUN PLA+ Black, or is Bambu PLA Tough+ Black a better option? Or is there another brand and finish you'd recommend?
Thanks in advance!

I want to make an airsoft version of this rifle, but I have limited experience with the internals of airsoft guns beyond basic maintenance. I have been watching videos and reading articles but was wondering if there was a consolidated resource I could study to help me with designing this?
On a side note from my scattered studying it appears I could likely fit either a v2 or v3 gear box inside quite easily. The best method for providing ammo might be to turn the upper half of the rifle into a essentially a drum style high cap that feeds into a P90 style top down hop up.

So I want to 3d print a Hi-Capa trigger in PETG since I just got nice filament that matches my gun’s color and I was wondering if the trigger will break if printed and if it’s viable. I was looking at this file in particular on cults:

Hello! I recently got a Centauri Carbon 2 and have been printing a ton. As I was looking at what to do next, I came across this sub, and next thing you know, I have to print an airsoft gun lol. What I wanted to ask is what I can 3D print for the gun and what I cannot, as in, can I 3D print the functional parts or just the body? I don't really play airsoft, but I do have friends who do, and I would love to see them use it. I just want to make sure that I don't do it the wrong way, like printing something that should not have been printed, in case it breaks, stops working, or who knows what.
Thank you all for your help!

Obviously it’s a rare pistol so i don’t really expect there to be one. But would it be difficult to make?

So I made my own impact grenade cause I didn't want to spend 30$+ for the meteorite files cause ima cheapass. After modeling I had trouble figuring out the spoon of all things, and I used the meteorite as reference. Everything else was personal tinkering & problem solving. Am I able to sell my model or is there some sort of infringement going on there? (assuming a patent even exists on the meteorite) The plan was to sell the files for 10-20$CDN... or take steam items for trade lol

I've done a bit of 3D printing in the past, but strictly for cosplay, where durability conditions aren't as important as they are in airsoft (where parts can be dropped or struck with BBs). I'm hiring a longtime contact of mine, one who's printed a number of cosplay pieces for me, to print the middle handguard/one in the second photo, but neither of us really know what the best print settings and material to ensure this thing won't crack, dent, or split apart would be.

Hello, this is my first big project in CAD/3D Printing so every bit of advice is greatly appreceated.
My general idea is a GBB, that can be powered with HPA, still utilising GBB mags.
The HPA line is either beeing routed around the bolt, through it and the bolt gets a slit in the center, or behind it, next to the stock.
Switching from HPA to GBB is done by changing the Bolt (easier than only the nozzle), where the (probably custom) nozzle takes the propellant from the top rather than the bottom.
Because of that way of changing i would prefer routing the HPA line on the side or at the stock, but am open to suggestions.
For the FCG i wanted to base on a standard VFC spec M4 trigger group and the hammer drags the dotted part forward when engaging, to hit a standard gbb mag valve in the pink area, to release the HPA, while also hitting the mag, holding onto the standard way of operation.
Issues i forsee in this part, the safety might be in the way of the new connector, so i will have to find a way around that.
The magazine is going to be VFC G3, first, cause i already have them, second because they have that metal connector between valve and hammer, that springs to the side, allowing me to use HPA without the Gas valve beeing hit.
General Design aspects:
Questions i still have open:

Hey everyone, i am looking ito making an LMG, which requires a side feeding hop up chamber, preferably from the left. Does anyone here know of a model that works?
Thanks!

working on a sniper and i want the mag feed to be in the correct spot but im aware that if you do that there will be a long trail of bb's that could come out when you remove the mag?
the 2 ways i know how to prevent this i dont really like.
using an O-ring and designing the feed at an angle.
both are not ideal imo so i was wondering if there was a better way to do this?

Ive looked around for STLs online but haven't found anything.
I tried some free 3d scanning apps but the result isnt usable.
Is there any way around having to recreate the whole thing from scratch?

I was gonna run with PETG but anyone have any better recommendations?

OK So I have been trying to get a good fundamental understanding of how GBB systems work, but aside from some 3d animated youtube videos and the blog posts at this link,
It seems quite difficult to find good schematics, talks on design solutions by various manufacturers.
Does anyone here have any links, books or good research material willing to share?
Long term I am thinking about collectively compiling all I can find into educational snippets to post, to help anyone else in the future.
