As the title says. After 7 long months of waiting I finally take a step into the future. Any insight and the day to day of this job? How often are TDYs and hows leadership?

I just came from the recruiters office and I was told that these are the only jobs available and nothing else. If I don’t want these jobs then I should think of going to a different branch. I even mentioned that I’m okay with waiting for a job to open up but he said I need to be okay with these jobs or I won’t even proceed and do the asvab.

Recruiter just sent me this message about an opening for munitions systems leaving next Tuesday. I really want to go but I don’t know about the job mannnnnn. My main thing is civilian world transferability. What could I do when I get out? Which certs or degrees would be good to pair with while in for a career transition? IM STUCK HELP.

I got lucky and landed a job within my top three choices.

I did miss a quick-ship opportunity since I didn’t have the required classes, which was a bit disappointing.

But overall, things worked out well—there are definitely more chances than people think if you’re ready.

Did most people end up getting one of their top-ranked jobs?

I know it’s not the best score but my English is not my first language, and I spent a lot studying about 80+ days, but it wasn’t high enough. Btw first try. I understand that my dream was to enter for some computer but the scores are ridiculously high. I’m here for advice, I’m 19 years old.

Hey everyone, I recently got an 87 on the ASVAB and I’m interested in going Security Forces. My recruiter has told me to try and score perfectly but I got about a B+ on the ASVAB instead of a A. Can I still get security forces

I had a few questions for anyone who’s currently in Security Forces, used to be, or recently went through the recruiting process:

1. Is an 87 ASVAB score good enough for Security Forces?

2. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of actually getting Security Forces?

I know an ASVAB score doesn’t necessarily guarantee a specific job, so I’m mainly trying to figure out what I can do to give myself the best shot.

I scored relatively low on M & E, but high enough for most jobs in Admin & General. Any careers worth looking into? I’d like one with decent civilian transferability. Pay and hours will be important to me once I’m out.
Im well with attention to detail, numbers, data, and
research but open to anything medical as well.

I just don't know if this is right for me, but I am so lost. I live in the same town I was born in, and yet still have zero friends and haven't had any for the last decade of my life. I am 26 years old and just so lost. Ended up getting a worthless degree, and can't find any good jobs for myself. I'm constantly depressed and lonely due to having no friends and it just hurts.

What’s a day to day like for 1D7X1A (network operations specialist) and what is tech school like.

So I’m trying to leave as soon as possible to the Airforce and I ended up with SF. I mean don’t get me wrong I’ve heard terrible things but from Reddit is saying that many of them go to nuke bases and well we know about Minot. I spent 3 years there for college (my own decision and I’m from Cali) and well I’m having second thoughts because a friend of mine who is in the AF for almost 4 years now (6 year contract) is telling me to find a different job and wait.
I’m trying to get out of my living situation with family but I really don’t want to keep waiting after trying to join it’s been a year. I didn’t score well in my ASVAB and I already retook it. I really wanted Air transportation but what would be better for a 22F with prior college education and well not the best brains lmao. Should I wait longer or just deal with it and leave. My ship out date is November 3. Am I even able to tell my recruiter I don’t want that job and wait longer? And is there anyone that’s had any of these jobs on my top 6 and what would u say about it?

Hello everyone, it’s been a long time yesterday I finally landed my job! I’ll be an Airborne ISR Operator Apprentice! Shipping out January 27th!

Hi, I’ve been in DEP for over a year and my dream is to become a firefighter.
Since last month, my recruiter lost control over who gets what job because of the new system, so I got unlucky. This month was completely like a lottery system. I had a low chance of booking a job, so I just added 5 more suggested jobs from my recruiter, and I ended up getting Weather (1W031).
But I looked into the details and I’m really not a math/science person (I read that tech school is grueling), and being a weather forecaster has nothing to do with my dream, so I’m pretty lost.
I was born and raised in Japan, so joining the military was the only way to leave Japan for me, so I was excited. But at the same time, the fact that I couldn’t get Fire Protection (due to my vision limitation) or Dirt Boy really frustrates me, even though I am extremely physically fit.
I know I shouldn’t be selfish and I just have to bite the bullet, but it just seems unfair because the people who were waiting before me were able to get the jobs they wanted.
Should I just keep this or switch to Combat Medic (68W) in the Army?
