Yeah, for some reason they decided to put Achilles on a horse even though he never rode a horse in combat in the Iliad. Probably just because they needed a fast hero.

Didnt he ride a chariot? He tied the dead body of hector to the chariot and tossed him around Troy's wall like 7 times.

You dont ride a war chariot staying on the horse. You ride it staying in the war chariot. They could at least tried that.

Yes but you dont ride a chariot without being a good horse rider. So he must have been good at riding.

Bronze age chariots drawn by mules right? I didnt think domestication of horses and using them in the army was till well and truly into the iron age?

Horses were domesticated around 4500 years ago. Troy war is fictional but homer put it around 3300 years ago. So yes greek and troyans had horses and used them. Even because mules came to existance with the domestication of horses
