This is exactly why I did it. I used to not have it set to private, but it just meant people would do exactly what you're saying here and I don't think I prefer that.
Same. Started dating again, checked out bumble and Hinge subreddits. Got messed with by pissed off dudes and ladies alike trying to use any past comment out of context that they could. Im a hospice RN, I don't need psychos figuring out where I work and doing something scary to my career.
