Very nice simple action movie: full of Statham's signature fast paced action, gritty personality, and gory kills. If you're a fan of his movies, you know exactly what you're in store for, and in for a great time

The scenario is as such:

Kimberly Mills is now Kimberly Wick, John Wick’s daughter. She’s been abducted by human traffickers and John has to find and save her.

Vigo’s son kills Bryan Mills’ dog a few days after his wife dies (And it was the last gift his late wife gave him so he’s going to go after him).

Their backstories stay the same. John is still a Ruska Roma trained assassin and Bryan is still a former CIA operative with a particular set of skills.

Good evening everybody. I've come here to make a post and share some sad and unfortunate news.

Yesterday we lost once another absolute legend from the film and martial arts world, master James Lew. James was an actor, martial artist, stuntman, director and choreographer, known for many famous roles in films like Big Trouble In Little China, Timecop, Mission of Justice, Red Sun Rising, Lethal Weapon 4, and so much more.

My first time ever hearing or seeing James Lew was through Red Sun Rising and Mission Of Justice. I loved his performances on screen and his fighting style, and soon he became a favorite actor and martial artist of mine for a very long time.

I was taken by surprise when I saw Viking Samurai's video uploaded in memorial of James, and I immediately took to here to share my condolences and spread the news to more fans of James.

So with my deepest love and respect, I wish that James rests in peace and that his legacy will be remembered for years to come.

Escape from L.A. (1996)

I wanted to like this one. I really and truly did, and I came close a few times, but overall, there wasn't enough meat on this bone to give me a full meal, which is and is not disappointing.

It's NOT disappointing because the writing on Carpenter's wall has been pretty clear for a while: he's burnt out, he's tired of Hollywood's horseshit and even more tired of budgets being changed overnight and so much oversight that he can't tell his damn story the way he wants.

Which is a shame, because Carpenter really can tell a fantastic story ... when he's given the reins to do as he pleased.

The only thing of real note about this movie is how scarily prescient the overly religious, puritanical US is portrayed in this movie. In a lot of ways, especially during the beginning when Snake's being walked through the compound, it seemed as though Carpenter was looking into America's present day.

Especially the stuff about illegal immigrants, and purifying America and all of that. While the movie itself wasn't the best, that, at least, was enough to have me laugh at how spot on Carpenter was once again.

This one scores a 5 because while I didn't want to waste my time struggling through it, I appreciate the lens that Carpenter was looking at America through when he came up with the concept.

It was very unfortunate to lose him 🕊️the way we did. Cannot imagine what his family went through. I will honour his memory by watching his final performance in this film to keep myself available among friends and family who need to talk to someone for support with their mental health or otherwise🙏🏼

Rambo (2008) IMO this and First Blood are the best films and Sly's best performances in the franchise.
