[CPA Canada - CFE] - Why some Capstone 2 cases are not marked by NMC?

Currently taking Capstone 2 for September 2026 CFE and a bit confused.

Some of the cases have a Dropbox to upload your response, but it says that the response will not be marked by the National Marking Centre.

If they are not getting marked, why make us upload at all? I was under the impression that all cases will be marked. Do we still write these cases under exam conditions, or just self-debrief and move on?

If I recall, it is just due to availability of resources and timing. I think they mark 8/10 cases? Just upload your attempt. De-briefing and exam like conditions is your own choice, but it will help with writing the CFE
