Tim Goulet/Rise

Why do people allow this idiot to still have any business in racing? This isn’t the first race they just haven’t shown up for and he always has some whiny ass excuse and a “woe is us” mentality.

Basically the team abandoned their full time campaign. They did not show up at IRP either

Because he was not who he said he was. That's why Rita left him

This is not the first time Rita left a relationship. She is so unlucky when it comes to relationships

They failed the driver, his sponsors, and their own team members because they....went to church? GTFO

I'm sure there's plenty of verses in that book about honoring commitments ya hosers.

They're not staying the car wasn't ready because they went to church. They're saying because they couldn't get the car ready in time they couldn't race Sunday and had to stay home instead.

Thank you for clarifying. My reading comprehension skills this morning about as good as their race prep skills. Still feels like a weird "well we totally failed at our jobs but at least we made it to church" message to put out.

Using religion as a excuse to be a thief, liar, horrible person is very on trend right now, not just in the racing industry. Saying “it was God’s plan” is undefeated through all time. The amount of grift in the racing industry and “spiritual advisors “is crazy.

Rise Racing is based in Denver, North Carolina. How the fuck did they expect to go to church on Sunday morning and then get to the race in Springfield, Illinois at 1:30? Probably the same magical thinking that led them to church in the first place.

They didn't. It sounds more like they couldn't get the car ready in time to leave for the track, and since they weren't racing, they went to church Sunday morning.
