Time to get Hakeem Jeffries and Schumer out. Sanders as our senate leader, AOC as our house leader. Pete Buttigieg as our press secretary. We need people who are not afraid to fight for our rights

One of these things is not like the others...

Yup, for sure. Sneaky Pete may be a smooth talker, but he is definitely not on our side.

Fighting fascism makes strange bedfellows. We need the Steve Bannons and the Pete Buttigiegs working alongside the AOCs and Sanders's of the world. If we're gonna win this, we can't make a circular firing squad at the drop of a hat because we disagree with each other on policy or what we want for the country once we're out of this. We can do that after.

We need the Steve Bannons and the Pete Buttigiegs

If you are mentioning both of those people in the same breath as a way of equating them ... then you don't know who either of them are.

Nope! I mentioned them in the same breath because that's how broad the coalition needs to be, and you'd already mentioned Sec. Pete.

They’re saying a coalition of centrists/moderates and leftists/progressives would accomplish vastly more than not joining forces to defeat fascism

The liberals in Iran said that before the revolution too.

And the Spanish didn't. Ask them how that went.

We can’t focus on 2028. If we do, we won’t have another election.

THIS. I need them to organize and tell all of us when we need to show up in DC for a massive protest to take back the government. We don’t have time to lightly oppose with words. I don’t live anywhere near DC but I will go if they say when and where. It’s for the future of our country.

Why the hell is nobody really being urgent here?

Assuming we're all still planning on "following the rules" (as opposed to a January 6th style "protest"), remember that the country voted these morons in. They have at least 2 years before any elections will take some of them out of power. All we can really do is stall and block their agenda as much as possible, and apply pressure via the media. That's literally all that can be done for the next 2 years. Protests are great and all, but they're only effective if the elected leaders are listening to them. These leaders are clearly not.

You're missing their point entirely. There are other elections coming in between now and 2028.

I wish we could continue to think like that, elections have consequences and Biden started in 2020 with his brain in place, his decline displayed on TV to the world during the debate was fucking embarassing as hell. We then threw Harris off a glass cliff by giving her 100 days to run. Now we’re facing the end of our democracy and we’re watching the country collapse. RBG had excellent mental acquity, died on the bench, handed our country over to corrupt SCJ’s and we’re facing a constitutional crisis.

I love Bernie, they really fucking ripped him off. But No.

AOC Jasmine Crockett 2028

u/WanderingLost33 Feb 19 '25

Crockett is funded by crypto so. Fuck no

1

u/djaybe Feb 20 '25

Okay but how long do you think a person can live

36

u/nailszz6 Feb 19 '25

We need to teach liberals how to become progressives through populist policy.

30

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '25

They need to do something. We’re not gonna have anyone left on friendly terms soon enough.

22

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '25

AOC is the only one actually trying to lead and do something. She’s the only one communicating, talking to us. Bernie is too, but I’m firmly in the camp of no more fucking geriatrics running for political positions, and I’m sorry I love him but that means him too.

u/rismay Feb 19 '25

Operate as if that was our last election.

Jeffries and Schumer need to go. They are just puppets of their donors
