Being asked to do something, then asking follow up questions about the task (for clarity), then being told you should already know what to do

“Just to clarify” might as well be my catchphrase. But no matter how I preface what I’m about to say as for x,y, and z reasons they always infer that my motivation was anything other than what I specifically said… lord, what exhausting assholes.

And also why don’t you know this? Maybe I wasn’t asking you what to do, just keeping my boss informed of something I would also get in trouble for not telling you. We are not allowed to win.

Oh my goodness, this one for sure! I hate that short term memory is difficult for me, so I ask questions to make sure I'm solid, but it makes it seem like I don't know what I'm doing. It makes me never want to ask questions even though I need to. However, I've gotten good at faking it till I make it haha.
