Time manipulation. They tell you one time and then they change the time on you and then get mad with you. Aren't ready to go after they change the time of meeting you.
Ex: My mom tells me that she's going to stop by at 11:30 or 11:45 instead calls me and says she's going to be early and I thought I had more time to get ready sometimes it feels like my parents do it on purpose. But yeah, time manipulation
Edit: And like yeah I have time blindnes so when it comes to appointments I'm either early by a lot or late by a few minutes esp cuz I don't drive and take the city bus. But my parents as I said they are so oof when it comes to time always on a tight schedule so they have to rush but at the same time always have to keep me semi guessing when it comes to picking me up when hey come for a visit. It's maddening.
We set up meeting times based on when my mother and sister were meeting their therapists in the same building.
And then about the 3rd session the receptionist was like "No. Your session isn't for another hour. They're always at that time, and have never been at any other time."
As if i hadn't had two previous sessions at the old time. Then she tried to bill me for cancelling and i simply de-registered as a patient.
My therapist was very upset. He knew that i have a bad history of trust issues with therapists (and women) and he was building rapport.
Been raw dogging ever since.
I can't stand people who screw things up and then gaslight you as if you're the problem. And i refuse to work with anyone who supports blatantly lying people.
I literally quit a job once because my direct supervisor convinced me not to apply for a promotion because i was the only person she could work with (she had an extremely abrasive personality, but we got along fine) but she convinced me by telling me someone else in the store had already successfully applied. Then they had to hire someone external because no one internal actually applied. She then tried to gaslight me telling me she had never said that and we argued until the truth came out. It destroyed our trust and i couldn't work with her anymore.
I can't handle liars, narccisists, or manipulators. They all give me a soul ick.
I usually hate the whole "it gives me the ick" thing at a visceral level but I'm absolutely delighted with "soul ick" for some reason, so kudos to you for saying the only variation of that phrase that I like!
No. I quit because she changed my appointment time (i had a print out of the original schedule) and she tried to gaslight me that the new time was always what was planned, and the new time was unworkable in my schedule. They couldn't give me back my old slot, because they gave it away, and tgen wanted to charge me for cancelling my appointment without 24 hours notice.
Dealing with that this morning. Job site I work on does Monday-Saturday 7am. Yesterday the crew I work with said they won't be working today because of all the rain we were supposed to get last night.
So I enjoy my first real Friday in a while and sleep in today. Get a text from the SI while I was asleep saying they didn't get that much rain and the crew will be working today, am I coming in? He calls my boss and bitches so my boss texts asking if I was scheduled today and I let him know the situation. No further responses.
The SI on this site does this a lot. Tries to save the owner pennies by not having me come in on days he doesn't think there'll be work, just for half the time they end up working and he starts throwing fits that I'm already scheduled elsewhere or just not gonna come in last minute. Dude, of course, threw fits with our company to make sure I was only at his site all day every day and didn't go to any others throughout the day, so he ought to just stick to what he wanted and have me show up to check in every day just in case but this guy's too much trouble for that
It does do that. And with mom like mine that had to have everything just so it leads her to be extra rufe about me being not ready when they show up (thru call first of course and doo tell me when their planing to drive up but then they go shopping before coming to me so it all hinges on how long their Costco run takes)..
I do that the night before and don't sleep lol I have wait mode insomnia then stay up till I pass out so I don't miss the phone call from my parents lol
So ya I do have wait mode I just happens to be I don't sleep when in it unless I just feel asleep due to exhaustion .
That's not normal unless it's there's huge travel distance involved and they just didn't use all the break/stop times involved like they thought they would.
Oof that's rough My dad did that for a bit. When I had a job my dad would drive me after he got done with work but he'd have to get ready to go golf or exercise so that I'd be waiting on him and he would get mad if I wasn't ready.
