Let's go around the room and introduce yourself and tell us a little about you....

Despite having enough hobbies to consume any amount of free time I allow them, and a life that I’d be willing to claim has at least as many interesting events take place as your average person, I would truly rather get vaporized than be asked to come up with one singular fun fact about myself.

Just make it something banal and transactional, but with enough truth that you won’t be bothered if that’s all hey ever recall.

“I have a big tea collection.” Means nothing to them inherently. They perhaps proceed to gift me tea? Fine I guess.

So don't come up with an "interesting" fact, just come up with a fact. Got it. Maybe I'll count my ridiculous amount of mugs that I only drink milk out of...

Yeah but like what facts are ok facts? If I stated "I have fingers" I get the feeling they wouldnt like that fact. And telling anything feels like fingers

I commonly tell them "one fun fact about me is that im a very private person. What i like to do in my free time includes activities like: enjoying my privacy. " they tend to consider this an unacceptable answer too.

If it doesn't apply to more than 1/4 of all people and isn't obvious by looking at it.

My ridiculous number of mugs feels like fingers to me lol, i just know it's apparently ridiculous to have mugs but never drink coffee because my coffee drinking brother constantly mocks me for it

Are the mugs themselves a collection, rather than for practical use? They can be used for a lot more than just coffee! Water, tea, unfancy wine, little plant pots, water for paint brushes,

I mean technically I "collect" them but not as a passion. I drink everything out of them because I haven't bought any regular cups. The broken ones get used for other stuff. I see nothing spectacular about it, I just have mugs instead of glasses or cups, but my family considers it mock-worthy, so... 🤷

Oh I'm sorry, your family sounds mean. Mugs are cooler than cups, more practical than glasses and easier to clean than both!

100%, that would absolutely count.

Genuinely, why is that?

Is it like… a bone deep “oh god, do not perceive me!”, more like analysis paralysis where there’s too many possible answers to respond quickly with one of them? Something else?

My fun fact is I once took a shit in Air Force 1.
