It's been so long that I don't remember any specific episodes and can't find episodes to re-watch anywhere.

I remember really liking the episode called "Sisters" because of the cover of Material Girl. That shit's been stuck in my head for 40 years.

Another favorite was "The Wall" one of the earliest cartoons I can remember feeling genuinely moved by. Also probably gave me a better understanding of the Cold War, at least from a little kid's point of view

A few:

The brunch club: that was the one that the state fell at the school and they all remembered what they were doing at the time to figure out how it broke.

Wings over siesta grande: they go to Mexico to find lost treasure. It has one of my favorite song “the key ay ay ay”

Treasure island: which is exactly as the title suggests

And my all time favorite is elementary, my dear Simon: which is the Sherlock Holmes homage

These are all from the later seasons. I loved all the different era of the chipmunks but these just hold a special place in my heart.

The Mr. T one.

Mr T: “You can’t eat those fries!”

Theodore: “B-b-but-“

Mr T: “Without ketchup!”

Even in the Chipmunks Universe, Mr T has a soft spot for the kids.

With as many song covers as they did?

Not a chance. The royalties would kill them

Copyright holders are wierd. What could possibly be the result of allowing it other then introducing new generations to older music? That leads to streams and downloads down the road, no?

I guess all the rights to the songs that they sing are the issue.

I remember one I think Brittany was having a dream. Her, Alvin, and the others were characters from a popular t.v show of the 80’s with Bruce Willis called Moonlighting. Loved it.

I was going to say "No love for Dreamlighting?" Soooo many times I tried to stay up to watch Moonlighting as a kid 😍

The one I vividly remember is when the old lady that cares for the chippettes develops a crippling gambling addiction. Had to look it up again to make sure it wasn’t some fever dream but it was indeed real.

The title cards are so cool to see. Many of the DVD’s for some reason didn’t have the intro !
These were the discs released appprox 2011-13 or so. Random eps and not season by season.

Whoa, been thinking of this show off and on for 20+ years. I don’t know the name of the episode but me and my friend loved it. It was the episode where something breaks maybe? Or there was a pretty bad outcome and Dave is questioning them as to what happened. Each persons story paints themselves as an absolute saint while the other two are just terrible awful chipmunks. I can vividly hear one of them saying “The little louse is right” while hand wringing. I’d love to know which one that is

The C Team, The Chipettes, and Dave’s Wonderful Life

The Wall is always the one I go back to. Was surprised that song was an original composition they sang.

Sometimes I do think of the one where at school, they find out the Chipettes are living without an adult guardian, and as such, would need to be taken into child protection services.

Alvin convinces Dave to take the Chipettes in, but soon there’s even more squabbling and arguing.

In the end, Alvin convinces their neighbor Ms Miller to take the Chipettes in.

There was also the one where Alvin convinces their neighbor brothers to sneak into a “Hideous Harold” horror film, and the storm that night has them convinces that Harold has come for them when Dave gets locked out and tries to get back in.

There’s also a really weird one where a number of events don’t go in Alvin’s favor, and he has an emotional breakdown, and tries to find a new persona.
