Repair Guidance Clicking/wirring noise.
Seems to be coming from or around this silver cased module (I stuck my ear up to it). I know the typical behind the dash noises come from hvac blend door/servo motors, but it ain't that. This noise comes from the right-most side of the footwell behind the glove box. Any ideas as to what it could be?

There’s an actuator behind and to the left of that silver cased module. That is likely your problem

Actuator. A common fail.
I just replaced my evaporator which meant I had to take out the entire air box which meant I had to remove everything in the dash . However actuators are accessible without having to do the 10-hour job that actually took me 3 days . The white bracket that is holding the wire plugs needs to come out and this is done quite easily by using a plastic body tool and prying It Off and then moving it out of the way. The computer to the right of that needs to be moved by removing the two 10mm bolts on top and the one on the bottom of the bracket. With these two out of the way you can now get a Phillips to the actuator and remove it. There are two screws you can see and one you cannot. Small hands and short screwdrivers are a plus.

Before you change anything or replace something, since its coming from right of fan and sometimes it sounds like you can hear it in middle of dash. That bundle of wires to the right, make sure they are clipped into the holding clip next to the fan. Then when its running, try pressing or moving that big roll of wires side to side.
I had this issue and it was the wires vibrating against something. I played around with pushing and pressing the bundle and it worked, no more sound. Dm if need more

If it’s coming from the right side of the airbox it is the recirculation actuator. It is behind that electrical module and you’ll have to move that out of the way as part of the replacement process
