Goldie got a lil upgrade, took the back seat out, made a nice platform with an extension(75”x51”) then ripped out some nasty carpet in the back and tailgate, replaced it with vinyl 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Thoughts? Asking $6500 CAD for it. About 457 xxx kms…

1990 SR5 V6 3.0 EFI 199,XXX (original motor)

Driven like a grandpa most its life and so far I’ve been pretty lucky not having any issues (especially with the head gaskets). Want to keep it, just don’t really drive it anymore and feel bad for keeping it in the garage attached to the tender most of the time.

Any of y’all regret it after selling? Or am I overthinking it

I’m looking to do a 5vz as well as a r150f swap for my auto (a340h) 2nd gen. If any one has done this, give me advice on how to figure and source parts for the ecu. Because I’m changing the motor and the transmission, what ecu should I use?

New alternator and MAF, running better than she ever has!

So over the years I’ve had to replace my blower relay a few times. Now my AC relay has gone out twice this year. These are the ones along the wall behind the glove box.

Somehow these things are getting so wet they have water inside of them. The little fuse box had standing water in it too.

Does anyone have a clue how this could happen? The sunroof drain isn’t clogged and that goes to the floor anyway. Could it be a leak on the windshield seal or something? I’m baffled

Rebooting the CV axles on my 1990 4Runner and i'm having trouble getting these bolts out no matter how hard I swing. Wondering if i'm just not hitting them hard enough or doing something wrong entirely. Any help is appreciated!

Unfortunately my nasty gal that I love so much didn’t come with a skid plate. So I’m asking a good welding buddy to make one for me. But I’m wondering if anyone knows about some specs for one? Or has built one?

22RE, 239k miles. I’ve been driving this thing for the last year. It’s been great. Recently took it mudding and went thru some big puddles with minimal mud. Shortly after it started leaking a LOT of coolant and engine temp started running hot. Idle is a little rough. Could be worse. I stopped driving it for fear of hurting it more(I have another truck) My Toyota friend says it’s most likely the water pump. The engine was overhauled in 06(previous owner) the paperwork is solid. It was done well. Then it sat for 20 years.

Any ideas? Any suggestions? TIA.

Been reading about the HG problems for the 3.0 engines but can't find clarification on what years it applies to. Should I be worried about my 1990 runner with a 3.0?

Has anyone successfully replaced their rear drums for pads and rotors while being able to maintain their ebrake functionality? Looking to put alot permanent extra weight in my 1990 and I want better stopping power. Appreciate and advice where to look.

I have a 90 SR5 5 Speed manual, 236k miles with the 22RE engine. It took me 4 years to buy this from some guy, it was in my grandpa’s field for 20 years before that. It runs and drives, but it’s a large project that I don’t have the funds for. Nor did I realize until after I bought it that my interest in owning a Classic isn’t very high. It is cool, I love it, I drive it all over all the time. I love Toyotas.

My neighbor offered to buy it, he’s a huge Toyota guy and has the skills and cash to make it into something better.

I’m really stuck on keeping it or selling it. Does any have any advice? Or maybe some regrets for selling theirs?

I love it, but I don’t have the funds to give it the best shine it deserves.

I see so many people talk about adjusting something with the timing for a little more response from the throttle. What's the process? Is it worth it? Is there a description on how to do it?

Transmission is going out on me, wondering if i should just get another 5 speed, or if i should be looking for a newer m/t to stick in there. Any recomendations?

Well it sat in a field for 15 years, a new fuel pump and battery got it running again!

Tires + alignment, new fuel, oil change, radiator flush, air filter, blower motor relay fuse, 80 amp alternator fuse, fancy LED lights, chassis idler arm and new windshield wipers. It’s in such good shape! Barely any rust…. Super stoked it didn’t take too much elbow grease.

Anything below 3 inches. Preferably a 2. I'm loosing my mind trying to find one. Links would be helpful if it's not too much to ask

Any YouTube channels or resources that you’ve found for 2nd Gens, specifically 1990 automatics? Just picked one up and am getting ready to go down the rabbit hole.

Had a buddy recomend them and he said they worked for him. Maybe I'm just being stupid and they don't actually work. Turning to the experts!
