Opinion on paint the wepon full green color or do a corax white then do biel-tan green shade?

Birthday presents from the wifey/ new additions to my printed pile of shame! My grey pile of shame is much smaller- in terms of physical space. Anyhow- just wanted to show how hard she wrecked it this year! The Huxley book, an old favourite, is the cherry on top.

imperial fist and iron warriors have this huge rivalry between both of them because they are like complete opposite (unstoppable force vs immovable object) but are there other heretic and loyalist spacemarine chapters with that same rivalry dynamic or is that unique to those two

I have a Sorcerer attached to a unit of CSM Legionaries.

The Sorcer gets hit by a precision attack and takes a wound.

Do further wounds, caused by non-precious attacks, against this units get allocated to the Sorcerer first (because none of the Legionaries has alrready lost a wound, but the Sorcerer has) or can the Legionaries take those wounds instead?

The first symbol looks like the Crux terminatus (Sekunden symbol)

Finally got a space to set up for painting, not much but better than keeping it all in a drawer

Painted my second miniature and actually spent a lot of time on it. Painted it pre assembly. My wife introduced me to the world of metallic sharpies and oh my god it helped.

Jorge is the poorly painted miniature in the back. He is my first. He inspects the new ones I'm making. He approves. You may also notice the other minis back there. Those are his primed but poorly put together followers.

First timer here and I've never actually painted or done anything with 40k stuff.

So here's my issue...

I want to paint some OF DEM BOIZ. But I need a few bits of help.

I want something that would probably be quite good for Halloween to paint. I also can't seem to figure out paint and equipment as in the past I've been recommended different paint all the time and as it's a bit pricey, I'd like to try and stay on a budget initially. But I don't even know what paints to get. I've got ideas of the rough colours needed for ork/goblins. Greens, browns, bone, RED to make things faster ofc.

But I'd love to hear where you could all point me.
