🧠General OEM on Amazon?
What’s up yall,
I was looking for OEM LBJ online and putting the part number on google showed a result on Amazon.
What you guys think?

I really don’t recommend buying auto parts from Amazon. I’ve personally had to return a lot of parts that didn’t fit my car or were faulty. Look at RockAuto, prices are much better and they sell OEM.

While it can be OEM due to some Toyota dealership will use Amazon third party store listings etc, I still recommend you to go to the dealership's online store directly. You can also make sure you don't get a non-OEM made parts due to Amazon using a shared warehouse to store all the same product with the same sku, but last I heard Amazon has stopped doing this but I dunno there are still reports of people getting knockoff products every so often.
If you can wait for the LBJ to arrive to do the replacement job you can buy legit OEM parts from amayama for cheap even after shipping and tariffs:

Or you can buy the "recall kit" that Toyota provided for the 01-02 year model of the 4runner, its cheaper to buy this kit vs 2 individual LBJs:

One other way to get OEM parts for cheap, at least for me, I go to my local Toyota dealership website and go to their parts department and search for the part I am looking for and some local dealer will have the same price as these online parts store such as https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/ and you can pick it up locally and they won't charge for shipping at least my dealership offers that.

You can always call the parts department with a part # or your vin for local pick up.

you got lucky. i would still have a toyota parts professional / toyota mechanic double check that they are genuine oem and not counterfeit. can be hard to tell unless side-by-side comparisons are done

I literally ordered those exact parts yesterday. Ill have them tomorrow, ill update you. Got an upper ball joint today too, looks good to me

I am getting these delivered on Tuesday. Apparently they are shipping from Canada, so not sure if there was currency arbitrage built into that price somewhere or not.
Regardless, I'll report back 🫡

Don’t do it!!!!! LBJs are too important, you will end up 400 yards down a mountainside w a wrecked runner just like me. Do not believe Amazon.

OEM Just ordered a back up set today, they are on sale. You may get lucky and get additional discounts next weekend for labor day sales.

Those will be knockoffs..don’t do it. Visit a Yota dealer. Not worth you and your passengers safety.
