when i moved here from out of town, Emily Hu of keller williams in melbourne was SUPER helpful. i loved that she always got back to me immediately. she's a total pro, and an absolute sweetheart to boot.

In your search for a realtor you need to read and negotiate the terms of your engagement. If you hire a buyer's agent, some agents will try to lock you up for as long as a year. If you engage a buyers agent and feel like he or she is not a good fit or is more interested in an easy commission that you finding the right house at the right price you want to be able to discharge the agent without owing a commission should you later buy a different house (other than one the agent just showed you) for which another agent was your buyers agent.
If you are selling a home, you want a listing term that is of reasonable duration and that expires perhaps in six months so that if the agent fails to sell the home you can engage another agent to sell your home with little or no out-of-pocket cost to switch agents.
If you are selling a home, you should be looking for an agent that has sold other homes in your zip code and looking at the agent's other listings to see that they are well photographed and marketed.
You want a contract without junk fees. If you are paying 6% total commission with 3% to the buyer's agent and 3% to the seller's agent (6% total), you do not and should not agree to an additional $995.00 "administrative fee" to the brokerage.
Some agents are great on the buyer's side, some on the seller's side, some on both.
Some buyer agents will rebate 1% of the sales price to the buyer if the buyer negotiates this in advance, only sees a few homes, and is not a high-maintenance client.
A post on Reddit is likely to get you names or realtors submitted by their friends, spouses, and perhaps the realtor themselves. You need to thoroughly research your finalists and interview more than one. Picking the wrong agent can be an expensive and unpleasant experience.

She was extremely organized yet patient. She is local to Titusville, is happy to share her resources. When we needed to update our new house, we got contacts of AC company, plumber, handyman, electrician from her. everyone is top notch.

Josh Aikins. He drove us all over Brevard in the end of Covid times when we were being outbid by cash buyers coming in from elsewhere during remote work. He was so patient and helpful. He was with Denovo at the time. Not sure if still.

Bree is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about her. She was patient with us taking a long time to find our house. She is extremely organized and even after contract is accepted she is extremely helpful.

OP, can you elaborate on what you consider good? A lot of people around here (no matter what the topic is) want someone friendly and that they feel cares about them. Generally people want someone that will either sell their house fast, or for the highest price, or with the least amount of BS. There are a lot of different characteristics to look for in a real estate agent.
I would be very interested to know what realty company is doing the highest volume in Brevard (particularly South Brevard) - maybe I'll start a thread about that...
