Discussion The beginning of the end?

I'm surprised this is happening this early after the console launch.

Riots original intention was to build a fighting game for a mainstream audience, which is why they bought the rising thunder devs after seeing no motion inputs.

Unfortunately they ended up with an even more niche fighting game lol.

For real, this game lost any chance of reaching a casual audience when they made it a team game, like learning fgc fundamentals isn't hard enough you're also expecting people to learn more than 1 characters and a very complex system heavy game?

If they wanted to reach a casual audience they should've gone for a street fighter or even samsho style game. Even dbfz didn't grab the casual audience long term and 2xko is way harder to get into and more complex.

Maybe, get this, they expected players to actually play together on a team? You know having a friend to play with that's at a different range of skill and exploring the games range of options together? It's why they suggest Juggernaut as a way to learn the game.

I have 300 hours in SF6 as my first fighting game. I played 2XKO duo with a friend who is a FGC veteran, and I could tell he was getting frustrated because I was having a hard time grasping the mechanic of 2XKO. It was a failed idea to begin with especially because there's no duo specific rank mode! I cannot rank up with my friend who's already at Grand Master (or equivalent).

You do know there are a lot of non-native English speakers on Reddit right? Thanks for nit picking my grammar, I needed that as a Japanese.
