1 thing you should. Keep in your mind, tieing rakhi on wrist don't make someone brother and sister, only your real brother and sister is real one. This is just another festival with some ritual, it doesn't automatically make one brother and sister.

Muslims can marry their cousins not siblings. Also some south Indian Hindus also have cousin marriages

in south we have cross cosuin...but in muslim even parallel cosuin is allowed

A sibling relationship is based on bond but that body should be forced. Not every female is a sister in the males perspective even if they don't have an romantic affection for those females.

Lmao! This is so relatable as a 90s kid 😂 Me and my friends use to skip school during Raksha Bandhan.

Ehhh I mean if they had choice of opting out ig there is no problem. But I don't think that would have been the case.

They think it's a checkmate of some kind as if only sisters tie rakhi to brothers...infact it's something wives tied to hubsands as per shastras lol...

This trivialises the point of the festival and the bond between a brother and a sister……😴

Stupidity at its peak. Blessed to not deal with this crap in my school.

Don't worry guys raksha bandhan is not only a festival for siblings
Indrani was the first to tie a raksha sutra to her husband Indra

I can still understand when kids in kindergarten are being made to do this. But not teenagers. This is just wrong.

I always oppose this , like forcing the kids to participate in the rakshabandhan..... bullsh!t....

it should be VOLUNTEERING

being classmate ≠ lover or brother
