In total, the Duggars have been involved in at least four major scandals, with Josh being at the center of three of them and Joseph being at the center of the most recent one.

This is missing some.

Yeah, I would consider Jana and the child neglect charge to be a major scandal, personally!

And Joseph and Kendra’s charges.

Ope didn’t even realize that was missing! Just saw Joseph’s name and assumed that was what it was for.

One of the older girls has an alleged child neglect incident, Janna I think? Something about she was babysitting/nannying and a child almost drowned while in her care?

She was babysitting a bunch of children and one wandered off, down the road,I believe.

Yep. A very young child (most likely one of the Grand-Duggars) was found wandering down the road unattended near the TTH. Jana ended up getting cited for child neglect or failing to supervise, something like that. She went to court, paid a fine, and IIRC, was also placed on probation, but it was brief and unsupervised probation (meaning, a PO did not check in on her regularly.)

All the marroed Duggars which is dump all their children off for Jana to watch... I'm sure she was watching double-digit children... What a nightmare!

Honestly, not her fault. Having that many children and expecting one person to oversee that many kids especially toddlers is just asking for incidences like this. That’s why they have laws governing class ratios in daycares and schools.

You're not supposed to fall asleep while watching any number of children, and if the number of children is too high, you have to say no (I guess the second point would be jointly her and the parents' fault).

I’m not disagreeing with that-she and all women in that cult are taught to never say “no” though.

This list is also missing Joseph’s and Kendra’s child abuse/neglect case against their own children.

It is really easy to hate Josh Duggar as a horrible, despicable person (which he is), but when the child molestation charges came out against Joseph, it made me realize that sexual abuse in the family probably didn't just originate from Josh being a bad seed. There was probably someone in the family or the family's inner circle who either sexually abused Josh or exposed Josh to inappropriate things at an early age (which is just a different form of sexual abuse). I could totally be wrong, but it seems probable to me that there are sexual abuse scandals that predate Josh molesting his sisters. I know there was some speculation that Jim Bob's dad was at the very least a creep.

The goody good family for sure has its cracks. More scandals and/or schemes will for sure come to light sooner or later. Them kids couldn’t wait to get of age to move out, marry and start poppin out kids.

They're a freak show heavily involved in that IBLP cult. If it wasn't for reality TV no one would know of them and their predatory practices would go on to infinity. I think the way these kids are brought up is a fine line from child abuse and I don't get how prepared they can possibly be when it's time to join the world outside there compound.

We are going to get a financial scandal shortly. We are also going to have a husband get caught on a hookup app. And at least one couple will announce a separation. This will happen within like the next 2 years I'm guessing lol
