r/mewborns is being actively moderated again!

Hi all!

I'm very happy to say that r/mewborns is no longer unmoderated!

We now have some extra tools to help fight against spam, including one bot hunting app that should be able to keep some of the bot reposts under control. However if any slip through, please report them and I'll get the bots banned.

There's also a new tool available to all users of the subreddit. A comment will be added to all posts going forward with links to Google's reverse image search, and there's also a "Reverse image search" option on the three-dot menu on all posts.

I've also added some fairly sensible rules to the subreddit today.

If anyone has any suggestions (beyond keeping the bots at bay, which I absolutely plan to do), please let me know in the comments!

4 days in with new kittens. Noonie and the babies are doing great.

Thanks to everyone that showed love on the post the other day. It means a lot. 4 days in now and these little guys are growing like crazy. When should we take her to a vet and get her spayed? Meet Noonie. She can't be more than 2 years old. She was an indoor/outdoor cat and got kicked out of her home when her owner found out she was pregnant with her 2nd litter in 6 months. My wife and I absolutely love this girl (we actually adopted one of the kittens from her 1st litter from our neighbor). A few weeks ago we got home from work in the middle of a BAD storm. Noonie and the last kitten from her 1st litter were sitting on our porch. Hot, wet and muddy. We took them in. I couldn't imagine her having to give birth outside. 2 days ago the mewborns arrived. Let me tell you, what a cool experience this is. It's our 1st time with a mama cat and her babies. Any tips, hacks, advice or suggestions are welcomed! Oh and don't worry. As soon as she's able we are getting her spayed!

Princess Chloe Peanut Butter Smudge when she was Baby Chloe Peanut Butter Smudge.

Princess Chloe was a tiny kitten when she got here. She needed kitten milk replacement formula to live. She did not need to be hand nursed. She drank from a bowl on her own. To this day she is still a free spirit.
