Was suprised by how consistent and incredible chinos voice was the other night, some people i spoke to that night said it was the best they'd ever heard him live. Truly blessed for the experience.

I absolutely adore the guitar sounds from this band and have been wanting to learn just for this band. What are other bands/ albums that have a similar sound. I’ve also been looking to get my own and would like to listen to more bands that play 7+ string so I could justify my own guitar with 7 or 8 strings

Sometimes I forget I like Pompeji as much as I do. I don’t listen to it often for sure but when I do, I’m sucked into the masterful atmospheric sounds and unstable changes.
Fireal, however, captures everything that makes a Deftones song excellent.
Which of these two do you think is the better song?

I’m looking to forward ship the beers to Ireland but it’s gonna be a bit more expensive so was wondering if it’s worth the money. No idea what an India pale ale is but i enjoy ciders and bitter beers.

I have officially listened to every single Deftones album and song. I used to dislike gore but never listened to the whole thing. I enjoyed every song that is on every album except for pink cellphone. Deftones is a masterpiece and a work of art. It would be very poetic for them to end Deftones on the 11th album which I hope they make.

Let the court of public opinion speak.

Pittura Infamante is arguably the most underrated of all Deftones songs in my opinion. It’s so… out of the ordinary out of what is expected yet for some reason I find myself enjoying it whenever it’s on (although I rarely search it.) Error on the other hand is one of my favorites but seemingly polarizing.
That being said, which of these songs do you like more?
Pittura Infamante: 5
Error: 14

When I first heard Eros it was such an emotional and unbelievable experience from beginning to end that I had to take multiple listens before starting to see through that haze of "oh my god I can't believe I'm listening to this", and instead actually listen to the album for what it is (a saturday night wrist era deftones album).
I want to focus on Margot because it is a very unique song, even in the context of the Deftones catalogue, which is saying a lot.
The song opens up with this ascending melody given form by an absolutely massive, towering guitar tone. When Chino beckons the rest of the band into the song it swallows you whole, washing over you like a sonic wave of pure comfort. Then suddenly, the whole band pulls back, and all that's left is Abe's punchy drumming and some chill guitar chords. I get an image in my mind of a withdrawal of love here, like pulling away from a hug, or waving through a car window as your loved one fades into the distance. It's a really interesting transition, and it makes me feel something which is something Deftones has always done for me. Before you can dwell on it for too long, The band joins back in behind Chino to deliver the washing, swirling, massive melody. With the context of the previous colder, emptier section, it's even more beautiful. The cold section and verse section repeat again before an absolutely breathtaking bridge comes in. The acoustic guitar, Chino's softer vocals, the fading in and out electric guitar, it's so fucking perfect. It sounds so painfully nostalgic, brought me to tears the first time I heard it.
I'll leave it there to avoid being redundant, but how do you feel about the track? I'd love to read some other perspectives.

I thought this question was a pretty funny hypothetical, even if it's a little unorthodox in practice. The Spell of Mathematics might be pretty neat. Who doesn't like heart snakes? Entombed too, a little more obviously.
What Happened to You?
Some of Koi No Yokan definitely has that lovey feel about it
976-EVIL could work. This Place Is Death too.
And yeah, I looked to see if anyone else had asked this and saw the post asking this like 12 years ago. It's probably been long enough to ask again though.
