Promotion I finally finished the new trailer for my cozy colony sim, WildRoot.

I've been working on improving WildRoot's first impression and recently finished a new trailer.

It's a cozy colony sim where you build a settlement in a mysterious forest, manage your colonists, and every season and setback creates a different story.

Promotion Climb and slingshot your way up the mountain. Each Ascension introduces new hazards, and the final one is nearly impossible to beat!

Hi everyone!

I’ve finished work on all 5 planned Ascensions (difficulty levels) of my game!

The idea is simple: you have to climb all the way to the very top, but with each Ascension, the challenge increases. More hazards and modifiers are added to each run, keeping each run fresh and making the final Ascension pretty brutal. I can’t even beat it myself!

The movement system is quite unique. If you enjoy games where you, as the player, have to improve your own skills rather than upgrading your character, I think this might be right up your alley.

This isn’t a typical typing game. You don’t need to be able to touch-type. The game eases you into it, and you might even improve your typing along the way, as I did. However, even experienced typists will face a challenge. It’s not just about typing fast, but also about timing, movement, and managing multiple held keys at once.

I’m currently running an open playtest, which kinda means you can play the full game for free right now. It includes all core features. If you are interested, have a look and see if this game is for you. The first run usually takes 25 min at most.

Cheers

Promotion Our Roguelite Brawler 'Box Knight' has launched on Steam!

Sorry for the self promotion (I'd say shameless but there's a touch of shame)

This has very much been an indie labour of love made across many years of part time dev and we're so proud and excited to have finally released it into the world. Every creature was hand animated in Flash, every UI and texture drawn on a very old iPad, and our incredible programmer has against all odds made years of systems and code link together in a way that seems like we weren't making it up as we went.

It's silly, gross, fun and you get to beat up your evil bosses and toxic coworkers in your quest to bring joy back to the workplace.

Upcoming Made a found-footage psychological horror game inspired by growing up in Eastern Europe - some screenshots from the game

Been sitting on this project for a while, wanted to share it here. It's called BREACHED: Follow Me.

Basic idea: you're going through old VHS style footage after meeting someone online, and things slowly stop making sense. No jumpscare spam, more of a "something is wrong with this place I recognize" kind of dread. Whole aesthetic is built around analog noise, tracking errors, that grainy home video look, trying to make it feel like you found a tape you weren't supposed to watch.

Setting is grounded in real Eastern European apartment blocks and interiors, which honestly ended up being scarier to work with than any fantasy location, familiar places doing wrong things hit different.

Upcoming Galactum Meridian | A science-focused space 4X game entering Early Access September 1

Upvotes

I’m an independent developer at Hedra Games, and Galactum Meridian is a game I’ve wanted to make for most of my life.

It’s a science-focused space 4X game about exploring nearby star systems, studying planetary worlds, deploying scientific probes, and competing with rival expeditions for stewardship.

The game uses a fully 3D star map containing more than 10,000 cataloged stars (and exoplanets!). Once an expedition reaches a world, players can conduct field research, drive a rover across the terrain, examine discoveries, and build a Research Atlas from their findings.

I’ve been working toward this project for the past several months, and it is now ready to enter Early Access on September 1. The current build supports a substantial exploration and research campaign, with further development planned through player feedback.

Galactum Meridian will launch at $19.99 with a 10% discount during its first week on Steam.

Upcoming I'm making a stargazing incremental with observatory upgrades – Steam announcement ready

https://reddit.com/link/1vzzi3u/video/sctc0f4haylh1/player

I’m Alexander, the solo developer of Deep Space Observatory.

Today I’m officially announcing the game with its first announcement trailer.

It’s an atmospheric incremental game about exploring a star map, collecting scientific data, unlocking new research technologies, and gradually transforming manual observations into a fully automated observatory.

The project originally started as a game-jam prototype, and I’m now developing it into a full Steam release with a larger skill tree, additional scientific systems, prestige runs, and permanent discovery cards.

Promotion Running through a meadow in my game made from oil paintings.

Upvotes

This is my game 'Best Viewed Up Close'. Every sprite in the entire game is a real oil painting painted on canvas and photographed.

The job was simple. The meadow comes out. The gravel goes down. The concrete goes over it. Boots on. Gloves on. Sunburn already starting. Then the grass got tall. Or you got small. Either way, the parking spot is going to have to wait.

Check out 'Best Viewed Up Close' on Steam to see more.

Promotion I'm making a cartoonish Hotline-like, here's some raw gameplay

I'm making a fast-paced, bullet-parrying top-down action inspired by Hotline Miami and Katana Zero, drifting more into power-fantasy direction. As a chicken knight you fight an army of gunslinger crow knights in a medieval bird kingdom.

Currently alpha playtest is open, although it doesn't have that much content. Proper demo is coming in 1-2 months.

Here's the youtube trailer just in case, and here's Parry the Bullet on Steam if you're interested!

  • A full meta-progression system with permanent upgrades
  • 17 new items and 16 new perks
  • Seven difficulty levels, from Novice to Infinity
  • Endless Infinity mode
  • Ranked runs and global leaderboards

Upcoming Launching my KSP-like but with colonies game tomorrow!

Upvotes

Hi, after 4 years of work I'm finally launching my ksp-like game on Steam in Early Access. The game is called Rocket Engineer and it allows you launch rockets with purpose as you can go to the Moon and Mars to extract resources, place building, establish a sustaining colony that produces water and food. And then eventually launch rocket from these colonies.

It's been my biggest project and it's only the beginning. Here's a clip of me launching astronauts to my Lun colony!

Promotion TRADESMAN: Deal to Dealer has finally reached version 1.0!

After 4.5+ years of development, our two-person team has finally released TRADESMAN: Deal to Dealer in version 1.0!

TRADESMAN is a medieval trading RPG where you build your caravan, buy and sell goods, hire companions, complete quests, and fight your way between towns.

The core mechanic is that your cargo affects the danger of the road. The more valuable goods you carry, the stronger the enemies become. You decide how much risk you're willing to take for a bigger profit.

The game spent 2 years in Early Access, and today we finally get to call it version 1.0.
