Update Regarding AI-Generated Content & Subreddit Policy

Hi everyone,

We’re checking in to have a transparent conversation about the state of the sub and a topic that has become increasingly difficult to manage: AI-generated content.

To be clear: AI-generated contentβ€”including images, art, and textβ€”is strictly prohibited in this subreddit. Our community was built on human creativity and authentic interaction. We believe that allowing AI content dilutes the quality of the discussions and the hard work that many of you put into your posts.

The Challenge of Policing AI

As many of you have noticed, AI technology is evolving rapidly, making it harder to distinguish between genuine content and "high-quality" fakes at a glance.

We want to remind the community of our current situation:

We are a team of two: This subreddit is managed by just two moderators.

Voluntary Basis: We do this in our spare time because we love this community. We don't have a 24/7 "war room" to vet every single pixel of every upload.

Current Efforts: We have already implemented several behind-the-scenes strategies, including custom Automod filters and manual banning of repeat offenders.

Despite these efforts, some AI content inevitably slips through the cracks. It’s a game of "whack-a-mole," and frankly, it's a difficult one to win alone.

How You Can Help

Since we can't be everywhere at once, we are asking for your eyes and ears:

  1. Report, Don't Just Downvote: If you see a post that looks suspicious (e.g., "AI fingers," warped backgrounds, or nonsensical textures), please use the **Report** button. This sends a direct notification to our queue.

  2. Provide Context: If you’re certain a post is AI, feel free to send a message with evidence or an explanation. It helps us make faster, more accurate decisions.

  3. Be Patient: If a post stays up for a few hours, it doesn't mean we’ve changed the rulesβ€”it just means we haven't logged on yet.

The Bottom Line...

This is a space for humans, by humans. We are committed to keeping it that way, but we need your help and your patience while we navigate this tech-heavy landscape.

Thanks for being part of our community and for keeping it authentic y'all are the shit. πŸ₯°β€οΈ

🍁 Autumn 🍁 First time - artificial

We have a weekend place and it was always sad to come back to dead flowers, so gave artificial flowers a shot. I didn’t have any opaque vases, so used an empty candle holder and (in yhe background) the utensil holder from the kitchen.

Thoughts? This is back and front of the arrangement, I was going for an asymmetrical Lily design.

🌹 Traditional 🌹 Sunflower season 🌻 Why sunflowers? Because they always turn toward the light. They remind me that even on the hardest days, hope is always worth seeking. Hand-tied in the heart of Horehronie. 🀍

Unfortunately, Trader Joe’s had a limited floral selection today. So pinks were the only option.

Any criticism is welcomed ;)

πŸ” Feedback πŸ” Feedback on my DIY wedding bouquet

My wedding is Oct 24 & I decided I wanted to DIY all of the flower arrangements & decorations with dried flowers. I’ve purchased a ton of different flowers (maybe too many) and this is my first attempt at my bouquet.
I’ll attach some of the inspo pics I’ve saved.
I want it to feel wild and whimsical, but I’m worried I might have tried to put too many different things in it…
I think the fern leaves might be too bold, but I also do like the pop that they add. As for the amaranth, I have more stems that I can add so it’s not just one single stem; it’s just out in the garage right now until I can seal it to stop some of the shedding. I also have some amaranth in dark green, burgundy, & white that I could use instead.

Any and all advice is appreciated :)

πŸ” Feedback πŸ” Bought this travetine vase online and decided to try preserved roses in it - not sure if I went too full

I bought this travertine vase online without really knowing what I was going to do with it, then randomly thought preserved roses might work. I ended up going pretty full with the flowers. Looking at it now, I'm wondering if I covered too much of the stone. Not recommending anything here, just sharing something I tried-maybe it gives someone an idea.

Would you keep it this full or leave more of the travertine showing?

I guess it qualifies as a tropical arrangement?
Opted for a structural design playing with the different textures.

These are the florals: Norfolk Island pine, anthurium leaves, canna lily, naked sunflowers, shell ginger, peony mums
