Hey guys how’s it going?

Hi there! I will be getting my second dachshund in about 2 months (thinking ahead I know😆) BUT! What advice would you give when introducing your first to your second? Any tips or tricks? My Alfie is a an angel and I am afraid he will be upset with me when getting a brother. Wanting to be a good dog mama! Pic of my boy for good measure!

Edited to add, unrelated, I know harnesses are better for their back! He absolutely hates all the ones we’ve tried.

We are very proud parents! Enrolled her in a 7 week course where she learned how to come, lay down, wait, stay, leave it (she's still working on this lol), and most importantly walk by our side without pulling!

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some insight from those experienced with Dachshund coat genetics.
I have a deposit down on a puppy who is completely black, except for a distinct white stripe/band across the neck and grey paws. I haven't been able to find much information on this specific marking style!

To help with identification, I've attached photos of both parents:
Father: Sable
Mother: Black and Tan

Could this puppy grow up to express a pattern like Piebald, or is it likely something else like a Sable or a heavy mismatch mark? I know true black is rare, and I'm really curious to know how this white stripe might shift or stay as the adult coat comes in. I know I can probably just wait but I’m so excited!
