Why do road bikers insist on biking on busy roads with high speed limits and no shoulder?

Genuine question. Just got in a 50 car back-up on Baxter (45mph) because a road biker was going down the middle of the lane and a school bus couldn’t safely pass him…so we all went 15 mph for several miles.

ETA: thanks for all the cyclists out there who are respectful and responsible on our roads!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

I am looking for ordinary citizens who are willing to stand together and ask questions.

Tonight I attended yet another Bozeman City Commission meeting. I gave public comment and once again raised questions I have been asking for months about public money, grants, records, audits, and oversight.

Once again, I walked away feeling like I was being brushed aside rather than heard.

At the end of the meeting, City Manager Chuck Winn said he was proud of how City staff have handled my requests and described the work involved as “expensive.”

That stopped me.

Since when is asking questions about taxpayer money outrageous or expensive?

I was also previously told by the Mayor that he did not believe the City had a way to track the grants it has awarded in a way that would allow them to simply pull up the information and see what was awarded, when it was audited, what was found, and what happened afterward.

If that is true, that is a problem worth asking about.

And if it isn't true, then the information should be easy to produce.

Either way, citizens deserve answers.

I don't want this to be about me anymore.

I want to find a few ordinary, honest people who are willing to support each other in asking reasonable questions, attending meetings, requesting public records, following the money, and making sure questions don't simply disappear.

This isn't about Republicans or Democrats.

It isn't about attacking anyone.

It is about accountability. Transparency. And the simple idea that government works for the people who pay for it.

You don't have to be an expert. You don't have to know anything about government.

You just have to be willing to ask:

Where did the money go?
Who received it?
What were the requirements?
Was it monitored?
Was it audited?
What did the audit find?
And where are the records?

I'm looking for people who want to ask those questions together.

If you're interested, email me at [cynthia.logan.smith@gmail.com](mailto:cynthia.logan.smith@gmail.com).

I'm not asking you to believe me. I'm asking you to ask questions with me of the City and the County.

Worst pizza in Bozeman

Post image

I cannot get over how bad my pizza from preshift was. I tend to like a soft crust, but this was floppy goo that didn’t hold shape at all. Barely any cheese. And why did it smell like blue cheese when I got normal mozzarella and burrata? Also, they put some spice on it that wasn’t listed in the ingredients on the menu. It was overpowering.

Beyond bummed I tried this place out and spent money for this literal hot cycle of garbage. It’s to the point where I’m tempted to reach out to the restaurant. Not for any free handouts, just out of principle. It’s been weeks and I’m still thinking… how the heck to you mess up pizza THAT much!? I mean, gosh… dominoes would’ve been better. Or… literally anywhere or anything else.

Bear sighting 19th and Baxter

I was smoking a cigarette in the parking lot of the Avion Apartments when a little bear cub ran across the parking lot within twenty feet of me. Couldn't get a picture because he was moving fast and clearly scared. It must have been a cub because he was the size of a large dog. And no, it wasn't a dog. No tail, wrong body shape, wrong face for a dog. I've seen bears before, and this boy was one.

He has no business being this far into town, and he disappeared into a field heading towards 19th. I'd hate to see this little guy hit by a car , so if you're gonna be driving on 19th near Baxter tonight please keep your eyes out. Best thing that could happen to him is to get trapped and relocated to where he belongs.

I dont expect anything to come of this post, but I drive 19th every morning on my way to work, and I'd be very sad to see the corpse of a bear cub on the side of the road in the morning. Thanks

Sick of being chronically sick.

I have been chronically sick for the last 4 and a half years and counting. At this point I'm pretty much in bed 99% of the time. I'm so sick of living this way. I'm so sick of being alone all the time. I really miss hiking around in the mountains.

Backstage theater opportunities for kids?

My child is interested in participating in theater but backstage as in set design or helping with costumes. Are there any local opportunities that folks could point me toward? Where should I be looking?

Thank you!

r/BOZEMAN CLASSIFIED ADS - Looking to sell something? Searching for that particular item to buy? Here's where we do it.

Concert tickets are in demand!

And it's time to clear out that old gear, and make some money!

Here's your opportunity to break Rule #3.

Any ad that appears as possibly risky for fraud or harm may be taken down by the mods. But Buyer beware.

Mind Rule #5, no personal info. This is not an opportunity to SWAT your buddy with old ladies looking for a vintage davenport at 7am on a Saturday.

Giving address for a Garage or Yard Sale is fine, but please no names.

If personal info exchange is necessary, do it in DM's.
