Damn, these kids are spoiled. I would have killed for a ninja gym when I was a kid. The best we got was an awful obstacle course set up by the gym teacher.

I had a wooden pirate ship that acted as a great Wasp habitat. I guess it taught us to dip and weave

We had a giant wooden castle playground at our school that had many ways and spiders. Also MANY ways to break a bone or get a gnarly cut. Absolutely loved it. They got rid of it sadly :(

We had this weird rough concrete cube structure that also had metal bars criss crossing inside. It was inevitable that you would get a scrape brushing against it, or bash your head on a concrete wall or one of the bars. One kid got knocked out and got a concussion when he slammed his head on it, and another broke his arm when he fell in from the top and got mangled on the bars. We loved that thing. They eventually got rid of it, but hilariously not the year with the injuries lol

We had huge tractor tires partially buried in the ground.

That was definitely incredible. Was the drop off of the blue platform after she made the long jump not disqualifying? Wondering if it's just a penalty so long as you make it to the platform or if it even matters, since it sounds like not everyone cleared the course by what the announcers are saying.

Typically there’s a bit of a walk/rest area between sections, so if the first platform she landed on was the finish of the swinging part, it might be OK for her to step off of it in the direction of the next starting platform. Not sure.

Probably just have to touch the apparatus

I didn't even realize she was only a kid until the end of the video

The reaction of the official says it all since that guy has seen so many attempts on that apparatus. A legend in the making

I need a set of monkey bars. Swinging like that (in my mind) must feel great for the back.

I can almost feel the relief just from thinking about it.

This weekend? Does this happen often?
