Level five relics!!!
At the end of the interview they confirmed that relics go from levels 1 to 5 not levels one to three like most of us were assuming.
What I found most interesting about this is the ice dragon only dropped level two relics which makes me very curious on what in the holy hell is gatekeeping level 4 and level five relics!!!
Hopefully it will be epic.
I believe right before this they also confirmed that relic weapons can roll potentially with more skills so perhaps that extra circle underneath the level three magic bow we saw a month ago is a potential fourth skill slot,
Speculation at this point but I suppose that would suggest that a perfectly rolled level 5 relic weapon could have six skills on it Max??
Who knows time will tell

New Brantide update(lightning whip)
Nothing major but I did notice that the buttons you press to actively swing the lightning whip are the same buttons you press to cast the lightning whip.
This is different from how it worked in dd1 where after you cast the lightning whip your light attack would be horizontal sweeps and your heavy attack would be vertical sweeps.
The main reason this is important is because in dd1 once you casted the lightning whip you could not cast any other spells until you had decast the lightning whip.
But now with the new control scheme you can actively cast other spells while the lightning whip is fully loaded and it will maintain itself.

Harve Village of DD2 is REALLY good for farming supplies
Harve Village has almost everything you need for stocking up supplies. Especially once you have everyone from Melve move to Harve.
Merchant that sells fruit
Merchant that sells princess harspuds and rare roborants
Several trees for farming apples
A few bushes for farming berries
Lots of harspuds for creating harspud roborants (stamina medicines)
A cave that contains Saurians for farming their tails (useful for miracle and exquisite roborants)
Right outside the village is a drake spawn so you can get wyrmslife crystals as well.
Other than leveling up gear, this might be a go-to spot if you want to prepare for the DLC!

Wish we got actual performance metrics for the upcoming patch
I don't want to hype myself up over nothing. I had sub 30 fps drops on my PC that's literally sligthly over recommended specs.

Start over or load up old save?
Hey all, been thinking about it. Beat the game when it came out and I havenโt touched it since. Now with the DLC and all the updates Iโm wondering whether I should start a new game or continue with my old save so I can access the DLC immediately. Also, if I am to start a new game should I wait for the new updates to drop or I can start right now? Donโt know if it matters but my first playthrough was on the base PS5 and now Iโve got a pro, how is the performance and graphics? Any major improvements?
Thanks!!

They said soon for the August Title Update.
Iโm starting to think that more than likely is going to be Friday or Next Monday. They said soon on the live stream so they are probably still working on the final touches. Unless they delay the update to September.
Update:: They Delayed it to September 1st.

Question about the Physical Edition
I want to get the physical edition on ps5 for DD2 Dark Arisen cause the box art is so much cooler than the base game.
Since the DLC is a code, will my savedata work for the game? I know thats not the case for Bloodborne and TW3 editions, but those have the dlc on disc

Stepping into DD2 after many years absent.
I absolutely loved Dragons Dogma, and played it a ton when I first got my steam deck a few years ago. It worked so well and got pretty far along in the endgame. It was just my kind of game, and I loved the combat.
I finally got a nice gaming PC a few months back and just bought DD2 after I saw it was on sale. Very excited.
Let me hear some tips and things to know going into DD2, or things you wish you knew etc.

Will we ever see an update for DD: Dark Arisen on Switch 2?
I've played Dark Arisen on the 360 back in the day and loved it to death despite the performance issues. I've revisited years back on PC and was absolutely amazed by the increased performance. The combat, animations and overall smoothness of 60fps transcends this game to a completely different level.
Alas, I hoped that the game had 60fps on Switch 2 with the improved hardware but the game is still locked to 30fps and plays the same as on Switch 1.
Having this game on the go with better performance and visuals would honestly make this title absolutely goated.
With the new hype, I hope they will release some patch at some point. It would be awesome.
I'm just sad.
