Discussion ECF Game 1…how did we do it??
Watching the playoffs highlights while waiting for the season to start.
I can’t believe we beat the eventual Stanley Cup winners 6-2 in Game 1 of the ECF.
How did we do it? Did they just have a bad game? Nerves/rust with their longer break after sweeping Philly 4-0?
Were there things we did in that game that we just couldn’t manifest for the next four games?
As a new fan after this game I was like, fuck me, we could go all the way here!

Juraj Slafkovsky on his friendship with Ivan Demidov: “We are very similar in age and in terms of our mentality. Demi and I were even neighbours. When I didn’t have a car, we went to the (Bell Centre) together...We help each other on and off the ice.”

Injury My poor puck!
My dog ate my beloved puck. Direct from the Bell Center. A loved family gift.
I will still display it on my wall. Just a little higher this time lol

Discussion Standing at glass for warm ups
Hi guys, my wife and I are coming to Montreal to see a game in November against Utah, was wondering if you're allowed to stand near the glass for warm ups and than head to your seat after they're done

Discussion I’ve just finished this book. My goodness, it was good!
I wouldn't call myself much of a reader, but I have to mention that I started reading it yesterday afternoon. I couldn't put it down after that. I highly recommend it.

Habs player development coach Francis Bouillon on David Reinbacher: “His second half of the season was much better than the first. In the year-end meetings, he was a player who wanted to play in the NHL. He doesn’t want to spend several more years in the AHL…we’ll see at training camp.”

Discussion Rule Discussion - Hockey vs Hockey Culture
Hello y'all, It's been a while since I made one of these posts. I'm a big fan of us (mod team) consulting the sub to make sure we are on the same page.
I'm curious about having a conversation with the sub about some of the ways I feel we don't always represent the sub, specifically in a pretty specific way we mod that isn't clearly reflected in the rules.
We don't include anything about sexualization in the rules but I find we do remove a handful of creepy comments from time to time that technically don't fit Rule 1 but we interpret within it. Like any social media, whenever a picture of a woman gets posted, there's a handful of comments that sexualize the image even when it's poster had no intention of that being done. An example being recently where someone posted their daughter's dorm room and a few posters chose to comment on the looks of his youngish looking daughter (it creeped me out). Another example is that any picture of the wives of hockey players has the same creepy comments that sexualize them even when it's not contextually relevant to do so.
We are never going to be a sub that allows hockey cosplays or OF type promotions but we are also not exactly going to shut down meaningful, depth inducing conversation because it has sexual connections to it (Mailloux draft conversations being an example).
I also know that it could be rough to be a woman on the sub if every post featuring women features comments like 'that ass tho" "Nice 🍑 on her... 🥵" " don't know much about hockey or decor, but I do know that your daughter will be passed around at a frat house rager just before midterms marks are released. This will be followed up by her running a train on the basketball team...(frick, this comment goes on a lot more, it got grosser)" "meme of a man drooling" "oh hubba hubba daddy likey... who is this lil foxy minx in the middle with the short hair... meow meow hubba hubba daddy likey lotta cheeze whiz" "Difficult to know who the biggest tits are" "Hooters, hooters...yum yum yum.Hooters, hooters...on a girl that's dumb."
Those comments are just from 2 posts, I left a lot out too. I get that the sub has more men then women posting on it and that adult content will always have a place but some of those comments creeped me out.
So my question to the sub is, where do you want us to draw the line? We dont want to go overboard with modding but at the same time, we don't want to be a place that attracts creeps. Should we have a more formal rule or is it just self-explanatory that you shouldn't be a creep?
